To meme or not to meme? Yes.

OK, there's this meme going around. You might have seen it. ;) The one where furs post RL pics of themselves. There's a lot of controversy about it, apparently.
On the pro side, people say: memes are fun; it's nice to see the face behind the fursona; it shows we don't have to be ashamed of who we are; I'm here for the friendship; fat nerdy guys are cute (for the record, I heartily agree with this last sentiment).
On the con side, people say: memes are lame; it's like popping the head on a fursuit because it ruins the mystery; this is not Myspace; I'm here for the porn; fat nerdy guys are ugly.
Like the Gemini (and coyote for that matter) that I am, I understand both sides of the argument. So....
Here is a candid shot my hubby took of me and my familiar (for those of you who believe in that sort of thing - for the rest of you, the kitty of our three that I'm closest to) just the other day, in all my fat, nerdy, hairy-backed glory. 2) I'm not sure FA submissions are the right place for this meme, but journal links to photobucket sites like yours are probably more appropriate. Not to mention it keeps the front page clear for everyone looking to get their pronz on!
3) I do like this meme because it may help identify someone you've only met online if you were to meet up with them IRL, like at a con. So for that I'd have to give it a plus!
4) I did take a pic for this meme, but I decided against posting it here or via journal. Maybe some time down the road. :)
