I kind of did the same thing as you did, and I just ditched Illustration class (workshop class) to get extra sleep from me going to Disneyland yesterday.

I'm good at procrastinating too. I extended my flu by staying up all night writing an essay in Japanese, so I couldn't even turn it in today because I'm still sick! Left4Dead 2 comes out today and I'll be playing that, furthering my ability to not do things.

Dexter is like my favorite series so far. It's got plot development (meaning you start from season 1), and while there's some form of a formula, there's always an underlying season-long plot to it. Also he's kind of cute.

Then again, most male protagonists in all the series are kind of cute :( I'm such a superficial dork.

And yeah I've done the staying up thing. First year I realized that staying up late causes acne. Ugh.

I think it's just the stress, not lack of sleep that causes acne :P

Yeah, I've been there, too. I watched Clone High and Dexter (seasons 1-3) almost a bajillion times until I grew tired of it.

Dexter season 3 was a load of shit D: I was engrossed in season 1 & 2, but then 3 came along with that asshole and made it no fun. I don't often watch anything more than once either. Unless I've had time to forget about what occured.

I kind of agree... season 2 of dexter was my favorite, with leila being a detestable psycho bitch and the twist ending of it making me go like "what the fuuuuuck?"

Season 3 was a little boring with miguel and the skinner, and in itself didnt really bring much to the table. It does pick up in season 4, though, if perhaps in a different manner. Dexter's beliefs are further challenged, he makes mistakes, he realizes the full impact of his family on his private life and he is trying to learn from another killer

I kind of have shows playing in the background when I paint :) never any action films (gunshots and car crashes dont make for good background sound) and never anything i haven't watched before, because I'd be too tempted to turn over and see whats going on/rewind what i've missed. Usually I rely on pixar cartoons, harry potter (i'm a dork) or television series that i've already seen billions of times

Aw, man, Leila made that season. I was also pleased by the ending as I think she would have grown tiresome if that sweet finale had not taken place. I think her awfulness added an intriguing dimension to Dexter's character.

Season 4, I'm looking forward to when that's finished & downloadable in one handy-dandy lump I have a great feeling about it, and my buddies who enjoy the series have nothing but good things to say about it! Haha, fun fact: a classmate was gathering photo assets for a video thing we're doing & he had me his Dexter type character for it. He was all like 'you can pull that Dexter "look" like no one else, except Dexter of course', and I was flattered yet dubious about what that implied :)

Watching stuff in the background is something that's been mentioned before by artists. Does it stop you from losing focus or what? I'm not incredible on the multitasking front D: How do you not just watch the movie and ignore what you're painting? I'll give it a shot with something I've watched recently. Sometimes I even find music distracting :<

Watching 'My Best friend is a Vampire' again may just make me procrastinate harder That movie kicked ass. As do the Harry Potter movies, I think I've seen all of 'em on the big screen (releases were kinda spaced out so it's hard to recall. I know I've read all the books, at least!

Season 4 is totally awesome, yeah. It's probably for the best if you hold off until the whole season is available. I get annoyed at the ending of every episode in the way that I never did with Season 3.

Oh man speaking of dexter look-alikes, one of my sister's friends had a similar face to him, so he styled and dyed his hair to be the same and found the closest clothes he could, along with the gloves and flashlight and everything for halloween. A little bloodsplattering over his shirt and he was golden. It was awesome :3

What gets me is cliffhangers in series, I really like to just dive into the next episode if an ep ends during something oh so suspenseful :) it's a big reason why i wait.

I go over to my folks each Thursday to watch Flashforward with my mom and dad. While that series, at least in my opinion, is going belly up, we still have fun. I tend to hang in my sisters old room since she is at college and watch TV there. I have seen a couple of episodes of Criminal Minds and you are right. It is a mind *&$# at times. X3 House is hilarious and I have yet to see Dexter. To this end, have fun watching and DL the series'. ;3

I saw a couple episodes of Criminal Minds when the boys were watching it, and it weirded me right the hell out when bake told me Mandy Patinkin (Gideon, I think?) was Inigo Montoya from the Princess Bride. As soon as he said it, I could totally see it past all the wrinkles, and then the whole thing got super weird <3

Haha, that happens to me whenever i see actors that I recognize from other movies :( especially if they dont look much different from their previous roles (happens all the time in comedies and movies in general from hollywood; recycling the same cast with no change other than role/accent/a stache)

Omgoodness!! Yes i know! I love JJ, Garcia and Darek hmmm. That show is just amazing and I don't know why. My favourite show since it came into existance. =)
