I think that guy has them all. That is one of my favorite battle songs. Some of the remade songs sound a bit... bleh to me compared to the original but I am sure I will grow to get use to and love them as well. Like the National Park and Goldenrod City song I just loved and the remakes seem alright but... eh.

Yeah those were the days... and talking to friends about pokemon and where you were at and all those other things. Was real nice. Sure can still do that now but it is not the same. Then again nostalgia is a feeling you get now that wasn't there then.

Don't think anything could be as nostalgic for anyone who has nostalgia to old pokemon games. Well I am sure they do for other things as this strongly but seems many hold it to these old games.

If only I knew how to get Mew way back then like was discovered a few years ago. No one knew of a legit way to get Mew and make up stories about the grass to the right of Pallet Town or the more popular don't board the SS Anne and trade someone with Cut over and then go back and surf to the left to find a truck with Mew there.

But now it is known to get an Abra and enter Cerulean City's Pokemon Center and cross the Nugget Bridge and don't battle the trainer in the grass and just as he is about to see you, pause and teleport and then go back to that grassy area... something like that.

Just yeah all those old graphics and music and all that... man powerful nostalgia and the thing about nostalgia is that it cannot go away.

I still own almost all of the Gameboy series games. I own Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Leaf Green and Fire Red.

Lavender town was probably the greatest town tune I've ever heard to get a sad and mourning point across.

*ahem* anyway, yes, I get MAJOR nastalga from those games. Cloyster's origional sprite looked cooler, and Coffing looked like a real fiend of Toxin rather then high on his own fumes.

Crystal was the best ever. By far.

Yellow was my fav because 1) was my 1st pokemon game ever (in japanese because I was desperate) 2) The pokemans inside the game looked more alike to their anime versions 3) You can use all 3 starter pokemans from blue/red throughout the gameplay 4) Jesse and James (Team Rocket) made a few appearances in the game 5) The trainer has some bits of his hair sticking out of his hat and look quite similar to Ash Ketchum 6)Pikachu follows the trainer and you can also unlock surfing Pikachu! ^^ Crystal would be my 2nd fav

Well I also mean Pokemon Yellow and Crystal just kind of goes without saying. But yeah I liked Yellow as well even though I had played Red. And one night it being the night before my birthday and me talking to my folks about going to Best Buy next day to get Pokemon Yellow and then they pull out the box and show me they already bought it and I got excited and was happy and put it right into the Super Gameboy and started playing... oh those were the days...

well if i played pokemon diamond or something i probably wouldn't get nostalgic, since it's been the same game since pokemon red/blue :3

Well you have to realize most sequel games are the same as the previous.. you have to admit that. Left 4 Dead, Halo, and others... even Zelda and Final Fantasy. Just those who are biased poopoo on one and stick by their game. I had found it amusing that someone called Zelda for n64 just a 3D of the SNES one in which he was a FF7 fan and one could say FF7 is just a 3D FF6 just of course a different story but it plays the same and all that.

Diamond/Pearl/Ruby/Sapphire sure those were nice but... I mean since I don't hold memories or nostalgia from those games it just does not feel the same. But when I play Fire Red even though it is not the original red... it makes me think back on the original this location and the music and thus I really enjoy it because it's a remake of a game I have played just with better graphics, music and updated rules and more pokemon.

I am so getting Pokemon Heart Gold... I might get Silver as well. Reason being is that I LOVE to start over and play through it again and well don't wanna do that on a game that I would have many things in so if I have another that can be my transfer things over and start over game.

I just really enjoy playing through the game and just having something there happen and just think back on the game. Once you reach the end nothing else to do but train a team and all that sort. Games that I love I just like to start over and enjoy it like that. Hard to explain.

well you see, Final fantasy always had it's own story, maybe similar in ways but they were always unique, now Pokemon... it's the same thing, you have to become the pokemon master, they randomize it all they want but in the end, you have one goal: get 8 badges beat the elite 4 and your rival then win game

Yeah but that is just story I was talking more along gameplay how things are done the same, not so much story. I don't think many care about the story in Pokemon at this point though... I mean I don't I just enjoy the game really. Pokemon just does not seem a game to where story matters much just enjoy capturing and raising.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon on the other hand... though I haven't really played I feel has a different story and I suppose it is easier to do that in that kind of game. Though now that I think about Yellow and all that the story is not about doing gyms but the events that are going on with Team Rocket or Aqua or whoever the bad guys are. The gyms are just like dungeons and something that just progress through your game. The story lies within events that occur and the gym just marks your progress and if you can go any further I suppose.

But yeah... I mean look at Mario games and Zelda games and such... you have to collect so and so or beat so and so dungeon to move on as well. Final Fantasy though stories vary... you still have to beat so and so boss to progress and all. Just... yeah I mean all games tend to be the same but with those that put in different story is what makes us not see that as much I suppose. Since Pokemon lacks that job people complain about it and notice it more than any other games. But really as I think about it the whole badge collecting is not part of the story... the other things are. Badges just be like the items Link collects at the end of a dungeon in Zelda to further progress.

Anywho... think I gone on long enough about that there. Just yeah... dunno how many players care about Pokemons story much and well it sort of has infinite replay value... it's just all gameplay do this and that, collect this and that and just raise so and so Pokemon. Besides if the games stopped then the fandom might hault as well? Or stop growing I mean. As with any long going series game. To why I think that is why the anime keeps going on and on.... that and for the kids and furs... heh.

Pokemon Red is the only pokemon game I played. I did enjoy it, but nostalgia? Nah. Maybe I was already to old :P

Nostalgia does tend to build as a kid it seems... so any memories made then. But there are some cases otherwise. I had finished watching this anime and already feel kind of nostalgic over it.

I sure remember my first play... Although it was mostly beeps, an color of about Black an green, I could imagee the adventure myself from my own view... Hah, it was so great... I still play like that with that bit of imagination of the adventure rather then just "I used three Pokeballs to catch this Pokemon!" I think of interesting storys, ah... they'll never be as good as my Blue an Gold play through though... Ahh, I really appreciate this bit of Nostalgia, Oh an one song that always stuck out for me in Gold/Silver was that Surf music theme.

Yeah... nothing can make me feel the same as Red/Blue and Gold/Silver. Man the memories... I had enjoyed the National Park and Goldenrod theme in Gold as well as that Slowpoke town... Azalea I think it was. Also enjoyed the Rival battle music in Gold.

It's a bit fuzzy, but I hardly notice because of how beautiful it sounds.

Yeah that Rival music always made the battle feel more intense, Never heard the HG/SS one before, the change of tune it gets makes me think of past adventures I have to say, it's quite an interesting mix!

Just as I enjoyed the remakes of Red/Blue I will be enjoying the remakes of Gold/Silver. The other ones were ok and all but... I dunno... think I can only love the originals more and remakes of them.
