Bad Idea #44: How Deep the Well? How Long the Rope?

julietmare asked about something that reminded me of this, which is not quite the same. It's sort of the reverse, only with the same effect, but in my Bad Ideas the effect is rather predictable, isn't it?
There is, once again, a bound (and gagged, most likely) nude male. Around his scrotum is tied the end of a rope. Following the end of the rope you'd see it disappearing into the bottom of a coil of the rope. At the top of the coiled rope the other end comes off and goes to a weight. A big weight. A big rock? A manufactured weight? Doesn't matter. Big deal, right? Balls and weight aren't going anywhere, right?
Wrong. The weight is suspended (with a different rope, maybe much thinner) over a deep hole, such as a well. When the rope holding the weight up is untied or cut... down goes the weight, falling.. faster and faster... pulling the rope down with it. If the rope is longer than the distance from the male to the well combined with the depth of the well, he stays intact. If not... *YANK*.. and you can guess the rest.
Oh, is she pulling the holding knot loose? Or about to chop through the holding rope? Or maybe just starting it fraying, for greater suspense? And of course she's grinning a deliciously wicked grin.
Variation: Weight is balanced at the edge of the 'well' and could be shoved over the edge. Or even "accidentally" knocked over the edge.
