I thought this was so humorously crazy that it deserved a link-up. The irony here is that candidates are allowed this airtime on public waves to promote equality, but its existence on youtube has the city govt. of Tokyo asking that they pull it down because they believe it would give this fringe candidate unfair exposure and it may sway the balance of the elections.
Crazy as that may sound (who would ever vote for such an absurd candidate as this?), do not underestimate the power of groupthink coming from this country. Way back in 2001, droves of 2ch users voted controversial celebrity Masashi Tashiro into Time Magazine's person of the year, totally offsetting the voting system and causing Time to remove him from the results.
Enjoy the almost cartoonish quality of this interesting candidate's platform.

Not that I saw anyway >.<
He reminded me somewhat of Ilpallatzo from Excel Saga, only scarier and without the bishie good looks.

my fav part:
...banning any building so tall as to obscure the view of the mountains, and renaming Aspen, Colorado, "Fat City." The incumbent Republican sheriff whom he ran against had a crew cut. Thompson, having shaved his head, referred to his opponent as "my long-haired opponent."

and yes, they had to air this spot right before the headline news on public television xD
Thank you very much for sharing that with us<3
a lot of shit he says is true and valid for most countries though. he does tell it like it is.
i'm not even sure if he has anime induced insanity or is actually a genius.
Please tell me hess honest.
Originally I was going to go off at him about how, even being in the damn minority myself, I don't expect to win because it would be unreasonable to expect the government to cater for the minority.
Then my brain came back and I remembered that the current majority are freaking stupid and not worthy of air, and the simple solution is to slit their throats in their sleep so the minority becomes the majority. 83
Seriously though, as much as a government upheaval would rule, it would be far too anarchic (is that a real word? It is now). I'd rather take an ordered world where we don't get a say to a chaotic one where we do (just before we're shot.) At least, for now. XD
