I had just bought a couple of cheap sample and loop packs and in one of them there was a rather nice orchestral feeling loop, it had the name Gotham, and me having had Batman as my favorite superhero since I was old enough to read that caught my attention.

I started imagining a trip through his mansion and the Bat cave. That's where this song began, in a little room in the mansion, then we move slowly thorough a long hallway and there are more and more things about it being a huge place starts to show until we get to a door we slowly open as it creaks a little, then before us is a large hall, but as the song progresses through smaller rooms and long hallways you'll see that the first hall was actually quite small.

After a few minutes we take a trip down into the dark Bat cave, opening another creaking door to unveil a dark staircase leading down to a cave without natural lighting. From there we move towards a small shimmer of light in the distance and upon reaching the entrance we fly up and get an overview of the entire mansion in all it's glory.

Now, this is not a song dedicated to Batman or anything like that, but that's how I imagined the song while I worked with it. I hope you get to see why, it gives it a bit more emotional depth I think, for me at least.
