Attack of the Ribbon Fairies - CONTEST!
farellemoon <-- main account, although not as cool since there's little ribbon... tisk tisk... What is a Ribbon Fairy?
Ever see someone all tied up in ribbon but no one is around - like, they obviously couldn't do that themselves, right? How did they get all tied up with no sign of help from any one?
The answer is RIBBON FAIRIES!
Ribbon Fairies are weird, man, they seem to get more kicks out of wrapping everything up with ribbon over doing anything to the person they wrap. It's that whole 'child plays with box instead of the toy'.
Wow! Cool, So what do Ribbon Fairies look like?
Well, see, no one has ever seen a Ribbon Fairy is the problem because those who are attacked by Ribbon Fairies usually get blind folded first. No one really knows what they look like as a result.
Maybe they have long tails for holding spools of ribbon or maybe ribbon shoots out their tails like spider silk or maybe they have a magic wand that launches ribbons at will. They might be really small or maybe they change size or maybe they're invisible! They could be animals, they could be morphs or maybe this is the one time humans play into the anthro world. Really... could be anything.
The contest picture outline and rules
The picture: Draw a Ribbon Fairy at work - we want to not only see them but we want to know how they work. You can use your own character or characters in this here gallery to be the victim! The pictures will be judged on the following criteria:
creativity involved in the design (is it a fairy with ribbon or a bone-a-fied RIBBON FAIRY?)
functionality of the idea (Just where does the ribbon they use come from and how do they carry it?)
humor of the piece (Ribbon Fairies aren't very serious business)
Please note that while skill level and talent probably help they are NOT part of what the piece will be judged upon, so all levels of artists are encouraged to enter - don't be afraid of being plowed over by ex.art college students, most of them aren't as creative as you think. (>>> is ex.art college student, so I can say that without getting in trouble, right?<<<). XD The point is don't hold back because you're concerned you're 'not good enough'.
All entries MUST be colored!
The Deadline: March 14, 2010 (no extensions are EVER ever allowed in any of my contests - don't make me hurt you)
How to submit: Posting on FA is totally allowed but be aware that other contesters might view you piece. If you'd like to keep your piece incognito you can email it to me at whereismyart@gmail - title your email appropriatly!
