Thoughts on AUP changes in regards to loli/shota

I thought Neil Gaiman said it best when he originally posted about it, and I still believe that it's one of the most well-thought out writings on the subject.

Check it out. Good stuff there. Also, please look at the follow-up article: http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2010/.....-today-is.html
If you feel that FA's policies regarding this subject matter should change, I suggest you help by doing your part to prevent further legal rulings like this from happening - buy a membership with the CBLDF. http://www.cbldf.com/
EDIT: To clarify, I support Dragoneer's decision in the matter - I understand that he's in a really difficult position and that he very much values freedom of expression, but... yeah.
My biggest issue is with the people who are taking this situation and letting their ugly side show. "YEAH, BAN ALL CUB ART!" "THE KIDFUCKERS DESERVE TO GO!" "DEATH TO PEDOS!" - if you've seen the discussion thread on this matter, you understand that there are certainly people who have that sentiment. This journal is primarily in response to that sort of destructive and dangerous thinking.

"I disagree with what you are saying, sir, but i'll die to defend your right to say it."
The Constitution is a living document, and while it's important to draw upon the past for precedence, it's not always wise to personify the founding fathers with the same analagous values, at face value, that we hold today.
I just meant that, in general, people are very quick to limit others' rights, then become upset when noone helps them fight when their own are limited.
I personally don't care about the new rules.
Basically, when I said the Constitution is a living document, I meant it; it's been reinterpreted in ways it wasn't originally intended, yet innumerable landmark cases have shown themselves to become progressive victories. The Constitution evolves with our values, and thank goodness for it.
I care about the topic, because I feel it's a trickledown First Amendment issue. I care about it enough to have an opinion, but not to begrudge FA for its executive decision. It is worth fighting for, and this dizzy little tizzy is far from over, but it will take lawyers with deeper pockets to get it done.
