it was my grandma's, but she died, so when I moved in, he gave it to me, so I don't know whose it counts as from a legal standpoint D:

well it would seem from a logical more then legal stand point, that if he has two other computers he should use the one that isnt being used daily by someone for more then douchbaggary...
and i would then have to say at a legal stand point.. if there are three computers in the household and hes needing spare parts then either get them from the one that isnt currently in possession of someone using it.. or go to a computer store and whatever he needs then get it there... if you did.. and to be honest i wouldnt recommend it.. totally would cost more then getting a new comp... but if you did take him to court seeing as it was orginally his wifes and then possession was transferred to you as the main user that he wouldnt be able to do anything withit reguardless of the original owner because he gave it to you.. not loaned or "let you use it" he gave it.. so that would mean you own it... he technically cant take it without your agreeance or it would be considered theft and damaging property..

Those are still around $200 though. If you could get some bare bones parts; you could get a few upgrade pieces for relatively cheap and get a better system overall
