Eddie the Wolf's Cool Crew
Whoa! Kind of a touchy subject for me to be discussing right now, huh?
To be honest, I have been thinking about it for some time now. Before anyone creates drama on here, I am sure all of you are wondering why I would want to do this. First, I am not out for attention. Yes, it would be nice to get fame and everything, but that's not how I want to look at it. True, this is Fur Affinity, and you see a lot of things all over this place whether it be good or bad. For long time, I have said that I would never do anything beyond what I normally do. Well, I have been talking about this with a few friends on here, and I know they have drawn things that you would not normally see them do. One of my good friends said that they do it because it helps them get a better understanding of anatomy, and they just see it as a drawing. However, it just depends on when they feel like drawing something adult.
I will say that I have one piece I commissioned that was given a mature warning. When I commissioned
valentinecrow to do this piece for me, I had asked her if it would be given a mature warning, and she said that she would because of how my characters are dressed. I understood her reasoning with that for she didn't want any wrong impressions of the piece, and I wanted my characters to have a tender moment dressed like that. To be honest, I was rather pleased with how it turned out. :)
So here is my question. How would anyone feel if I drew adult art? To help you out, here is how I plan on approaching the subject matter if I do decide to draw it.
1. I won't draw it constantly. This will only be when I am stressed out, feel tense, or if I come up with an idea with approaching.
2. This will be more personal. In other words, I may not plan on making money out of it.
3. I plan on reserving my scraps section for it. I don't plan on coloring any of them since they'll only be in sketch form and nothing more.
4. If I'm up for it, I may do an adult trade with close friends. Just know that #3 will be in affect. So I don't expect you to color your part for me.
5. This would be more of a study for me so that I can get a better understanding of angles and anatomy.
6. I want to capture the intimacy of two characters together. Don't expect me to go overboard with my adult art.
7. ONLY HETEROSEXUAL COUPLES FROM ME!!! That's right. I draw the line on doing anything else besides that. And that goes for solo stuff (male/female masturbation for example).
8. You might expect some artistic nudes.
9. I will focus the intimacy aspect with Eddie/Lucy and David/Cassie. Mostly Eddie/Lucy for the time being.
10. No doubt I may get asked if one of my characters can be with other people's for an intimate piece. For now, it'll be either Eddie or Lucy. David and Cassie will just be together for personal reasons.
I think that's all I wanted to cover ground rules wise. Some of you are thinking that I'm dead set on actually doing this. Well, I am kind of wanting to give it a shot. In actuality, I have had try to encourage me to draw one, and I did. So I've only shown it to specific friends, and they liked how intimate it was. With it, it was kind of a relief, so I may give it a test here and see how things will go.
I understand how surprised most of you are, and I'm sure some of you are thinking that it was bound to happen. I have to admit that at some point I would draw something adult just out of curiosity. It was rather uneasy for me to draw it, but it wasn't terribly bad in the end. It's still not my thing to do, and that's why I won't be doing it as often as others on here.
All in all, the scraps section will be for my adult art if I decide to go with it while my main gallery will be for my better works.
I hope I haven't made anyone upset. If I have, I understand where you are coming from. I mean it's worth a shot. For all I know, it might not be so bad. We'll see how it goes.

I haven't done anything adult yet, well a couple drawings a year or two ago but nothing that I ever even really finished sketch wise, just testing the waters I guess. I find myself still wanting to draw some more adult themed art, and maybe actually get something down that I want to post. Time well tell on my end, I don't have any weird feelings about it, just more "wow I hope I don't draw anything too weird" sort of thing, since, obviously, adult art would have certain anatomical features present that I haven't drawn a whole lot lol.
I have to say on my end I do think I could see myself doing adult stuff for the fun of it (and perhaps some things to put up for auction or something on furbuy or furbid - something that wouldn't have any personal characters, just randoms). However, I kinda feel like you, most of what I think I could see myself doing would be intimate sort of tender things between couples.
Either way you decide to go I like the idea you've got. I say test it out, if you like it go for it, if not then just stick with what you've been doing ^^
I laugh at my sister she keeps telling me not to go to the "dark side" but then she's silly that way sometimes lol
Well, it's good to know that I'm not the only one worried about this. =P I just hate to have others think of me differently. Maybe someday we can share what we've drawn without having to worry or something like that next time we chat.
I have to be honest I could actually see you do something like that. I guess part of it is that we've been friends for awhile, and I know we've discussed about this. :)

nah not the only one at all. For me I hesitate, not because I'm a prude or anything, far from it really (hanging out with rowdy boys all the time just prepares you for things lol), it's just something of a step further in I guess lol. I don't mind adult art at all, my favs should attest to that, I guess I don't quite trust myself to draw it well just yet is what's holding me back. When I post something adult themed I want it to be something that I'm happy with and ready to upload and share.
hehe well I think it could be fun, I've had ideas for some things that maybe someday I can try out, if anything just to experiment some. I feel kinda weird like a sell out, drawing something with the possible intent to sell it from the get go, but eh I still think the process of drawing would be fun.

I, for one, was never a fan of it because of how overblown it was. I have liked how some of them were well-drawn, but I always thought it was a waste of talent. When I get to know others, it turns out that everyone has his or her own opinion of it. All of it depends on who you speak to. Yeah, I've seen your faves before, but I understand. =P For me, I would just post it regardless just to get feedback from it.
Who knows? I may ask to do an adult trade with you at some point. Again, we'll see how it goes.

oh, my bad, I misread it or something XD I blame the fact that I've been awake since 5:15 yesterday morning and I drove probably 4 hours total today lol. Been a long day, and all of that was on top of having a test yesterday morning as well. My brain is tired X_X

As for drawing it yourself, if it's like the piece you linked to, I really don't see anything wrong with that. It's rather cute, actually. Getting more pornographic is where you might want to be careful (just personally knowing what you stand for). You'll catch no flack from me no matter what you decide to do, though. God bless. :)

I've never minded physically intimate art, as long as it doesn't show you-know-what and isn't grotesquely sexual/fetishy.
