As I have already announced, there are several things that can contribute to a character's survival in the Zombie Apoc-Fur-Lypse, but one of the most important is an ephemeral collection of character importance called "Plot Points."

All characters (whether reader contributed or author created) have 5 Plot Points to begin. Those who contributed characters have the ability to add up to 2 additional Plot Points before the stories begin by providing a character picture (+1 Plot Point) and/or a character backstory (+1 Plot Point).

Before the Zombie Apoc-Fur-Lypse stories begin, however, there are a few additional ways to earn bonus Plot Points. Today, all characters have a chance for a 2nd bonus point. Without further ado, the second chance for a bonus plot point is as follows:


Bonus Plot Point Opportunity Two: Influence

This is all about votes for a character to gain a bonus Plot Point. Friends, family, random strangers, readers, whatever! Go out there and provide people links to the Zombie Apoc-Fur-Lypse and ask them to vote for the character YOU supplied, or a character you'd like to champion. I'll add up all votes submitted by 9pm (PST) Friday the 9th and the character with the most votes gets the point. Remember: any given voter may only vote once, and it has to show on this journal to count!
