No, you could send notes, but you couldn't delete the damn things. It made it very annoying when people would send you spam notes, or if you were trying to find a specific note buried in all the crap that you couldn't delete.
Mmh just like say you would get spam or something... And it says 50N ... well it will still say 50N after you mass-deleted those new notes unless you read each and every one of them, I guess o-o
Its not in any of my folders :| At least the ones I can access. My archive is empty, my trash is empty, too (deleted all crap in there), my inbox is mostly purged, too ... That note in question was an unread test-note I asked a buddy to send to me - first I trashed it, then I deleted it. All without ever reading it.
it's a privacy question , you are well placed to know what i'm talking about, able to peek on any inbox, be sincere and ... and get that digibutt off my face !
I can look at notes if I'm given a direct link, and the most I can do is run a "comment search" that only lets me see the last two weeks of notes if I need to. Otherwise, we can't dig through notes. Only two admins even have the ability to look at notes if they have to.
We generally only do it when there's a troll/harassment case.
'cept that you can access MySQL, and nothing's encrypted there. you and Yak can virtually do anything you want, more than your admin(mod)'s panel allows, so you won't convince me, that's also my domain of work to manage sites and some communities, but if you wish to avoid discussing about it, it's understandable.
even if i was totally confident with that site, you and your "mods", i'd still encourage the use of aim/msn/email rather than using any website's internal messenging network like DA/facebook/myspace. it's a question of common sense. for seeing how professionally furaffinity is managed, i'll especially avoid that.
And you don't think aim/msn/email isn't being read by their respective admins (or the government?) Hah! There's a school taking pictures of their students in underwear through the camera on the kid's laptops! I'm not worried about Dragoneer. Besides, he has a cute Digibutt.
Not to mention MS owns every single freaking thing you say via msn and the like. Whether or not they DO anything about it is unknown but it's still worrying. From your perspective the very best thing you could do is physically go up to the person you want to talk to and talk. All forms of electronic communication can be intercepted and read. Welcome to the world of tomorrow!
yes. all forms of communications, especially phone and wifi, or anything that doesnt got a pgp encryption if you fuss a bit, but the lambda citizen is usually not in that context, unless you're lurking for pedo shit or lurk on weird websites linked with drugs or weapons dealing. that's totally not the same thing as opening a "note" or so called private message and bring and get someone from the staff bringing it to discussion on an irc channel in public. "yeah but the TOS said we have the right to do so"

i totally know the fact there's agencies devoted to tracking things like الجهاد lithium-deuteride حصاد عمر فيصل israel boom holocaust etc. but that's usually not related to the site you're browsing. in fact their center of interests are different than those you share there. that was my point. there's no difference between facebook making stats to improve their ads and furaff. both are corporations wit hrevenues and "tom" isn't your friend.
Excellent! So... No deleting of unread notes then, right? >_> <-< I won't do that again if it causes this much trouble.
