Update and why I been depressed lately. Huge 9th journal

                            This is my head.

Sorry about the lack of updates but the last two weeks have been the most stressful in the whole 38 billion earth solar years of my life. So stressful in fact that I lost 8lbs of my weight over last weekend due to lost of appetite from worrying(tried to force myself to eat but could only manage only half the meal). But most of it worked out (a long twisted tale that reads like a action TV show). More on that later (it'll be a good read).
One thing I wanted to announce is my 6-month anniversary on FA. Too bad it arrived at a stressful time for me or I would have something up to celebrate. Speaking of which, I'm now behind (even further behind actually) on my projects. I know a lot of you wanted to see my 3d stuff (the pr0ns) back on track but it looks like it'll be pushed back a bit (hopefully only a few weeks) *sees droves unwatch* Oh well.
I been out of it so long that my new messages list quickly ballooned to 4600 new submissions (the result of watching so many people). I spent two days go through all of them. But I'm getting over 100 new ones a day (sometimes over 200) and it hard to keep up. And the new journals almost as bad (please limit those memes O.o).
Ok, now story time. It all started on a cold rainy night... oh wait, it started last year when a co-worker got in an automobile accident. I already helped him out before (big mistake). So when he got another car, blew the engine, then got a SUV. I help him when the alternator died down but there was a problem with the wiring and he didn't want to trace it. So he gave up on it.
Then he wanted this (way overpriced) Honda ricer POS. I hate those worthless piece of junk but he had to have it and had to have it now. Kept talking to me and made all sorts of promises. I finally broke down agreed to loan him $500 toward a down payment (another of my mistakes). It soon became $1000 since his girlfriend check didn't come it yet. Then it became co-signing for the car loan (see more patterns here). Then his credit score was too poor to get the car. But he had to have it that night and my score was 820 (which is very high) so I had no problem getting it. So it ended up with this deal where I buy the car and he pays the bill with auto-payment out of his banking account for 6 months. This would not only build his credit, but also show the finance company that he is paying responsibly. After the 6 months, I could then transfer the title over to him and I'll be free and clear.
This turned out to be a mistake since he was slow of setting up the auto-pay and was paying with cash for several months (he always had excuses). This wouldn't help his credit nor build a payment history. I should have put my foot down then but I'm way too trusting. Anyway, he got arrested on a warrant in January. I was stupid enough to bail him out hoping he'll continue paying the car (another on a long list of mistakes). I still don't know exactly what the charge was. He said his lawyer it was dismissed years ago but somehow it got active again. I should have walked away then but was still too trusting.
But of other things happen like him cheating on his long time girlfriend (4+ years), nasty breakup thereof (she stabbed him), and other irresponsible stuff. Again I should have seen the signs but still too trusting. He claimed he was paying the bills (I found out later he wasn't, even left some on his bail which he said he paid off). He claimed he paid but the wrong account got credited or something. I told him to look into it to see what happened. Meanwhile I had to use my credit card so the insurance won't get canceled and the car possessed. Once again I was too trusting and believed him.
I was getting frustrated with him and told him he needed to get it straightened out soon. I was then he got fired (two weeks ago). He said he got another job and would make a payment (another lie it turned out). I pretty much lost my trust of him by now (took me way too long), especially why he got fire. He brought some girls to work on Saturday (very young girls I heard). The problem was they where surfing the internet, got into some porn sites, and downloading revealing pictures to the desktop. Plus they was putting stickers with rude comments everywhere. Come Monday, he was confronted with this behavior. I heard he was offered another chance (he was normally good worker despite what his personality turn out to be). But he declined and was fired.
Now I believed he didn't care at this point since he was already planning to run out of state anyway... with my car. He was making very good pay in this area and should really have enough to pay his bills. Apparently he was spending it on all these young girls and can't save a dime. Everything he gets, he spends just to spend. He spent all his Christmas Bonus on gifts and such but barely paid his bills. He had nothing for the next month if he needs it... like getting arrested.
I save at least something out of every paycheck no matter how little. It became a habit and I told him to try it. He'll never miss that amount and it builds. Put it in the bank and forget about it. It don't exist. Of course he couldn't do it no matter how hard I tried. Had to spend everything (sometimes before the next payday). I should have took the car back but was too trusting then.
He stopped talking to me soon after he got fired. I asked around and he was still talking to some co-workers. one of the them mentioned that he was moving out of state, then I knew there was no turning back. He was going to run. I desperately tried to get a hold of him and he was not returning my calls. I called the bond place to warned them he plan to leave. they told me he didn't talked to them in a month and a half... and still own them money after he told me it was paid off (he was making plenty of money too). I knew I should have checked up on it but again, I was too trusting. I was surprised that the bond company didn't do anything except put him on the red list. My call however moved him up and they gave him 24 hour to show up at the bail office. He didn't show so the put him off bond. That was Sunday but only saw the judge earlier today and only get the warrant signed tomorrow (they are super slow). I keep telling them that time is of the essence but they was less than helpful (another pattern here). But I did find out he had another unrelated warrant went I ASKED them to check (what kind of bond business doesn't do even the basic stuff). It only took like 10 seconds to look it up too.
I also tried to report to the police that the car is stolen but they won't file a theft report for 10 days. As it turns out, since I gave him the keys, it's considered a civil mater until I send a certified letter to his last known address and wait the 10 days (totally messed up but that is how it goes). i told them his bond is about to be revoked but they was even less than helpful than the bondsmen (lazy bastards). Now I got really stressed out since the so called friend plan to skip town in a few days.
One lucky break (excuse the following pun) was when the car broke. I heard that the transmission and clutch blew. He was waiting for the last check to pay for the repairs before he flee. That was my best (however slim) chance to find him. I called and called the local repair shops (over a hundred) looking for the car. But it was to no avail. I knew the check was going to his (step)father's house I had my brother case it for a bit hoping he'll show up. Was fruitless. I went out and search places too.
Totally depressing until he actually called me. I was careful not letting him know that I know he was running. Various people wanted me the threating his dad that I was going to su and such. i knew it wasn't going to work since I didn't have much evidence except for hearsay and I didn't think he'll go for any bluff. Like his dad was going to turned him in. So I was hoping beyond hope that he'll call. And when he did, I was talking to him like I wasn't pleased but willing to work things out. Get this, the car was done today and he had to get it out. The check won't be out til Friday so he said the repair show is willing to get a check for the remaining amount from a good person (that's me : ) for 45 days. When Friday comes around, he'll pay it off and the check canceled. Of course he didn't know that I knew he running plans. So I reluctantly agreed to do it. I told him I had to go home to get the checkbook. This gave me time to call my brother so we can get the police there to arrest him on the warrant (the bail was still not revoked yet from that super slow bail company but that unrelated warrant is what saved the day.
Skipping a lot of details, I got the cops near the gas station (took some convincing) where that so called "friend" wanted to meet. Notice he didn't want me to know exactly where he is staying. Something that he did with the other co-workers he met throughout the week (I wish I knew they where going out and partying beforehand). So, basically he walked up (how he didn't see that police car parked behind my vehicle is beyond me). I motioned to the cops (who where talking to each other and not paying much attention) and they walked over. they asked him his name. He said no. Then the cop asked for his ID.
This is where it got exciting (ya! a payoff). He immediately turned around and ran. The two cops and my brother took off after him down the embankment. I was about to got with them but decided to take my vehicle after him. I was parked kinda weird with the cop cars near me but got through. I however had to wait behind a red light. I said hell with it, turned on my hazard flashers and gone through the light. By that time, the cops already got him. He ran across the highway (heavy with rush hour traffic but fairly slow). Jumped in the back of a pickup truck. The passenger got out and tackled him (I wish I saw it but hey).
Now the cops where paying attention. They were not very into it before the chase. They pretty much had the attitude that I was pulling their legs of something. Kept asking all these questions like why I'm doing it or if I was a bounty hunter. I had pictures and documents in a folder to show them (like a bounty hunter apparently). After the arrest, they got a lot more friendly toward me. Weird that but I'll take it.
So what now? Basically my co-signing of the bond is now moot. That's a huge weight off my shoulders. But he was still vague about where my POS car is. So that still a sticky issue. I now have a better idea where it might be so I hoping to find it soon. Otherwise I have to wait till the 10 days are gone and report it stolen. The question is what the insurance will do since he is on the policy. But I'll work it out somehow. At least the big issue is done with.
Another issue is his "former" girlfriend. Even though he cheated (and continued to cheat) on her, she still in love with him. She had no idea that he was tunning out of state though. I told her that 5 or 6 (I forget exactly) people told me that he was going to that particular state. She didn't believe me. I told her "they all can't be lying". She responded with "They must be". As you can see, she'll be a problem for sure.
I plan to get restraining order against both of them. I certainly never ever trust those two ever again. In fact, I learned my lesson. I'll still help, but not like that. You need help, sure... but you better be responsible or else. I want to see some effort or that's it. I'll bring down my full dragonfury and all that'll left is a small pile of smoking ash.
...and they all lived happily ever after.
Wasn't that a nice story boys and girls? Heed my warning. If you going to help someone, make sure you are not taking advantage of. Even though I was one to bail him out, he ended up back in jail for trying to cheat me. If he was able to get the my co-sign taken off (the "girlfriend" promised to to that but it was broken like the others) and he made the car payments like he was supposed to, he had a better chance to run. The title would already been transfered to him and I would no longer be financially held for the bond. I could have lost touch with him with no problem. If he had ran then, I would not be involved and he would had a great chance to get out of state since the bond company was so slow.
I had to do all the leg work for the bond people. I gave tons of info to them but they just sat on it. I guess they figured that I co-signed, they could squeezed me. But it would be so much easier just to find him in town that some state clear across the country. I got so lucky due to his greed. Couldn't wait a few days the pick that car up and that greed got him. Trying to cheat me that one last time.
So, I'm feeling much better now. I can sleep and eat better. Still not completely out of the woods but I'm sitting much better that a day ago... much better. The chances to finish it is looking up. I'll be happy to get this long sordid affair over with. I'll add the progress to this journal as it unfolds.
UPDATE: The Nightmare Continues
I thought I was home free, but I got the worse news possible (the most unbelievable happened). Somehow he found a bigger idiot (probably a relative of the "ex" girlfriend) than me and freaking got bailed out from the other warrant. whoever it was is going to get a big surprised when he finds out. He had a bigger bail than me. The warrant related to me bailing him got stamped and was ready to go. All it need was the judge to sign it to be active. O f course that be tomorrow morning. I absolutely cannot believe my bad luck. All this should have been done days ago! I am so floored now that I have no emotions anymore... all completely drained away.
My best scenario is that the judge dismiss the bail amount since the warrant was so close to be active. I hoping for this one. The bail lady will push for this (and I hope finally they'll get something right for a change). I'll get the news tomorrow on that. Plus the other bond would be revoked too but it matters little now.
I figured he found enough money to get the car out of whatever shop it was in (I'm still looking though). And he's probably Then I can file a thief claim on the POS. And hopefully it won't be denied since he was on the policy.
Another scenario is that the person that just bailed him get contacted about he jumping bail and would turn him in if he still has contact. Doesn't seem likely though. Also, the jumper could get a traffic stop soon and arrested on the new warrant that going to active (finally) tomorrow. The warrant should already be in place if the damn bond people wasn't so freaking slow... them bastards. I did all the work and they blew it.
The worse scenario is that he's gone and I get denied the thief coverage on the car. This would cost me tens of thousands of dollars (on top of the thousands I already lost and never will get back). I think my only option is to declare bankruptcy, provided that would do anything. It certainly will destroy what credit I might have left. This one I don't want to think about.
So there you go. From the most stressful two weeks, to a very good day, and then to my even worse day. What a roller coaster ride. I just wish I can jump off before it's too late. What else going to happen next? This ain't over yet.
P.S. I found a lot more about his character. I wish I knew it beforehand since I would never made any of those loans. More on it later (not really in the mood to write about it).
Edit: Next part of the crazy adventure is here http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/147410/ .

''aw for the love of god SAY NO...why cant he say no''
Even his former "girlfriend" still believes him still. How can she believe 5 separate people would lie about him telling them that he's going to that one particular state. And she knew him more than 4 years too. Plus she knows that he's seeing other (very young) girls.
At any rate, I was in self denial looking back on it. I should have seen the signs but you know what they say about hindsight. I wanted to believe him too much it seems. He had so many chances to redeem himself. I just can't believe he didn't take advantage of them. Even if he made it out of state, he'll be a fugitive. He would have a tough time getting a good paying job. Can't register the car without switching VINs (even then it can be checked). The way he was driving the car (like to race that crappy thing) that he would eventually be stopped for it. Then they'll find his warrants. Now it's a federal offense and he would face even more hard time. Just dumb for him not to face up to his actions in the first place.
The funny think is we have a former felon co-worker that's doing very well. Even though he served hard time, he the floor supervisor. The bosses likes his work so much that they are expanding his responsibilities more and more. If fact, I like to help him out most down on the floor since he actually appreciate it. crazy at it seems, most of the others like to blame me for helping them. Like the old saying goes "no good deeds goes unpunished".
I did learned a valuable lesson. It'll be much harder for someone to take advantage of me now. Especially since my savings are well drained (my brother's divorce is another long horror story as well as my other brother former (it better be) drug habit). It seems I'm blessed with such chums.
But I can manage much better now. Just a few loose ends and I should be ok. It's looking good in 18 months or so when the 2nd brother gets his disability and finally pays me back. The 1st one is slowly getting ready to finally sell the stuff he been buying at great prices (he loves to show on ebay, goodwill, and clearances). He finds these awesome deals but he needs to start selling them.
I feel I'm the only one keeping the ship afloat at the moment. If everything works out, then they can finally hold up their end.
Despite all the problems I face (usually helping others too much), I seen people having it much worse. Like that person on the news that bleed to death in the emergency room while the doctors and nurses did nothing. I was really messed up. I was bad enough when the bondsmen and cops where dragging their feet. But when the medical people just let someone die in front of them is so wrong. Oh well, I'm rambling again. I don't write often but when I do, I go crazy. No two letter journals for me. :p
Busy fapping at the moment. :D
And that's when the payment bites down hard.
I'm glad you were able to resolve it, though. It's not an easy thing to do, I'd imagine, but it had to be done. You should be proud of yourself, now that things will finally become unraveled.
And happy half-anniversary at FA. ^^
*pets* Things will get better... just stand in there and give it time. I'm sure you'll find a way to make ends meet.
Heh, I'm mean, when it comes to money I never trust anyone...there are always other ways to deal with it. Or, I make up contracts that they have to sign that pretty much say they must pay me triple instead of double if I'm not payed back by <insert day here> with their signature, my signature, and a witness signature.
Anyways, I think it's a pretty good lesson to be taught and experience. I mean, there could possibly be worse people out there trying to take advantage of you, but I'm sure no one can now that this has happened. And at least you weren't lazy like the rest of those stupid employees of various places that you went to.
I know it's bad for you and everything...but I thought it was exciting to read. :o sorry!
