well, there are two programs for linux to run windows programs:
Wine, and CrossOver (last is sort of a commercial version of the first) I have CrossOver Pro, but it didn't run

64-bit refers to the processor. 32-bit doesn't run 64-bit programs and vice versa, though it's usually possible to hack a solution for 64-bit systems. sometimes.

As far as I figured, you can switch them out. I bumped into a house where my teammates were, so I guess you can choose from there. Not entirely sure though.

Once you pay for a mercenary, you can switch him/her in and out of your party whenever you want. ^^

OS is short for operation system aka the main system everything is run ontop of such as Windows, Apple or Linux, if your running anything else then Windows well sadly your most likly doomed from the get go.

I've been waiting to play this game for some time but upon playing I have encountered probably one of the most bizarre bugs yet.

My character constantly walks to the right. Normally I think stickykeys is the culprit here but heres the thing. It's only this game. I can open up any of my other RPG games I'm making and control it fine. I even reinstalled this game and it keeps happening.

I have encountered this bug in the capital of egypt by a rock near the entrance. Hope that helps you. I'm going to re-download it and reinstall everything.

Secondly - Aren't there battles anywhere? I've taken about 3000 steps and have yet to encounter one monster. I mean people in the town are talking about the monster attacks lately.

That weird walking glitch has happened to someone else before too, but he never managed to solve it...I have no idea what triggers it, but if it doesn't happend to everyone, its nothing I can do.

You'll start encountering monsters when you've reached far enough, don't worry, you'll be warned. :3

Out of curiosity will you ever release the game with no encrypted archive? Sometimes when people make games on RPG Maker I like to see what they use in the game and how I can use it to improve my own games. Not art work or anything but things along the lines of timing and stuff.

been giving it a wirl, quite fun and vivid for a free hobby build, so far a few nitpicks

1. combat take to long to introduce, it is a PG after all and having a few critters to kill early wouldn´t hurt the pace.

2. in any future sequel see if ya can add a system to allow us to see who turn it is. It is simply more frustration then thrill to get basicly sneak attacked to death just before you used your potion.

3. also a sequel suggestion, try and work the map so invisible walls are covered my natural walls, fealt a bit cheap walking towards what fealt like a open part of the edge only to bump into a ghost wall of plot convenience.

4. try and avoid using dialogs like "I don´t have a reason to go to X" it just breaks the immersion that your playing your character when he himself thinks for you.

all in all a nice game that I gladly pick up again next morning

Started the game. 1st town. went to prostitute to see into what kind of content would be paid for ( animation versus just a pic ). I paid for the blowjob, the screen tried to transition to it ( blacking out ) but it seems the file won't play. I seems to keep trying to 'restart' whatever you have playing it. I know from the codec pack thinger ac3 filter keeps making icons trying to access it, but no luck. I was able to X out the game. What is going on?

Nevermind. It seems it was audio files and I had my sound down. Is there supposed to be only voices or is there animation to go with?

Unfortunately I'm having troubles with it. I followed the instructions to the letter and every time I open the game it gives me a window that looks like its going to work but then then goes into a "not responding" state and ends up crashing. i've tried all I know to fix it and nothing. any ideas?

I noticed what i believe to be a glitch/bug. for some reason I cannot escape from fights at all. the fight just starts over again. but otherwise a great game, though i am stuck and for some reason cannot find the orange flowers.

Yeah i've given opala lots of gifts and still can't advance... i pwned sir edward ballsack the 3rd or whatever, can't go into the northlands and im just stuck... HELP WHAT DO I DO!!!!!

For Opala, you need to give her 5 gifts. These can include the chocolate and apple purchased from the store. There are also orange flowers scattered around outside the palace and some of the grassy areas of the Egyptian capital. (They are slightly different color than the pink ones, it isn't obvious at first glance they are orange.) After giving her 5 gifts in total it will move on. Dunno about Edward, I didn't fight him till after I beat the game, went back and beat the snot out of him in about 4 moves :p

Don't buy the chocolate or apple. I can't remember if it's really 4 gifts or 5, but however many you need, you can find every single one of them for free in chests.

You can get three in the palace's front lawn.

I suspect it's somehow more complicated than this. I'm on my second playthrough and no matter how many items I give her it won't progress. The first time I gave her 2 flowers, a chocolate, an apple, and the plushy and she opened right up. This time I've given her 4 flowers, 3 chocolates, and an apple and she still just says "aw thanks". I can't remember where the plushy is =/ Maybe you have to give her at least one of each?

Yep, just remembered where the plushy is and that was all it took. For anyone lost, it's in a chest in the palace kitchen/dining room.

The flowers are outside the palace and scattered in the grassy areas of the city. They aren't clearly orange, they are orange but its really easy to mistake them for the pink. Just go around and look at the pink flowers and pick the ones that are kind of discolored.

Their stalks are also greener.

Fights actually aren't random, if you escape a fight and continue running on the same path, you'll just run into the same enemy again!

There are several dream sequences, all which can be triggered at any time, as long you've already met the "monster" once. =)

Found a fix for anyone on 64-bit Vista.

All .exe's involved in the the game, allow them to run in Administrator mode, and Compatibility for Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Then, change your DEP settings, and set them all as exclusions.

If you don't know about DEP, Google "Data Execution Prevention". If the results don't help... Talk to a techno-smart friend?

Agreed there, kept him the whole game, the partners make a huge difference, trust me. Some fights are much easier just by having an extra person in the party, I never would have beat the first boss if I didn't get the Hunter first.

Its possible to find one more sex scene, even after the storymode is finished.

Is anyone else having a problem with the monsters spamming Protect spells? Its getting very annoying, reducing damage to them from over 1000 to 0 for about 3 turns and then they just cast it again. I can go 20 turns not being able to SCRATCH any legendary monsters just because of the ability. Especially since they have such a high resistance to Mute abilities so I can rarely stop them.

Just a question: is there any difference in the plot or dialogues, if I hire one of those mercenaries around? I'm at Greece and I'm only with the main character so far.

And the mercenaries doesn't affect the storyline at all, though they do show up in the towns if you've hired them. =)

I downloaded the game a few days ago, and I've got 2 of the endings so far (the two obvious ones). I think I can say what I think of the game now.

+ Combat is easy for people who don't even like RPGs
+ Enemies are well-designed and look professionally done, aswell as the characters
+ Could've just made this mostly porn and nothing else, but you put it more to story than porn, and it's a good story at that
+ The voicework was really well done, sounded believeable
+ Pretty long for an independant RPG
+ Post-Game stuff is certainly interesting

- Some grammar errors in places, but that's more on me being a grammar nazi
- The two character pictures in certain battles (I'm sure you'll know who I mean) just looked out of place to me, though they were still well drawn
- While there were loads of pictures on the game, I personally wouldn't have minded seeing more than 1 or 2 during sex scenes
- Levelling up seemed a bit too easy to me, though the post-game stuff does counter that nicely
- While there was no shortage of getting gil, some of the prices for some things seemed a tad steep to me (though that's probably just me)
- Would have been nice if we could see the HP of our enemies and such

Those critiques aside though, I was extremely impressed with this game, I see a lot of potential here and I don't think you should stop with this any time soon.

Never played Golden Sun...I mostly added those items because I thought it'd be fun to actually have rather pointless stuff in a RPG game. X3

I just asked cuz of what that guy on Mt. Falcon says. In Golden Sun you can find tarnished items that you take to a smith somewhere and he turns them into relatively powerful items.

Also, what's the point of the Beatball and Madball enemies? I've found them in the most random places, but have yet to lose a single point of health in a fight with one of them.

There is a quest giver who gives you the task of killing at least 10 of them. I still haven't come across more than 3 but maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Hey I don't know if this is a bug but, it seems like it but, I was weaken and it just doesn't seem to go away. Can anyone help.

It may be something you are wearing, sometimes armor or accessories are cursed. They gain + some ability like additional elemental resistance, at a cost of being curse with dazzle or weakness. Just look at the description of the items the person who is has weaken is wearing in the eqiup menu.

So.. does anyone know if you run into Nipha again after that one time when you first get to the second area? At least I'm presuming that the 'unknown cat girl' was her.

Having played through once on the good side, I never saw her again. She may show up in the postgame content though, I get the feeling there's a lot there that I didn't take the time to check. Working on my evil run now, she hasn't popped up yet.

Also, curse you RPG Maker and your 4-save slot limit! I like to make saves before every major decision, then go back and try out a few different outcomes. But branching plotlines are making me have to make some decisions there =(

No worries, most people stumble over it when they first get one. It's really very simple, .rar is the most common form of compressed or "zipped" files. Most modern computers come with some form of unzipping utility, such as WinZip. If you can't find anything like that, I use WinRAR, which you can download a free trial of. 7zip is also pretty popular.

I feel like getting around really wasn't too difficult. The only time I had trouble was on the Good-side quest where you have to get somewhere in a hurry, and one of the signposts threw me off. Other than that, keep wandering and you'll probably eventually find somewhere recognizable. Though admittedly in this land the evil villains seem to measure your loyalty by how far you're willing to walk back and forth from their headquarters every single time you want to talk to them.

It doesn't need a map so much as it needs something like Pokemon's Fly ability. Walking everywhere just got really tedious very quickly.

Do you ever run into the pirates again after the first time?

Wonderful job. I've used RPG maker before and I have to say, I'm rather impressed. There are a few bugs here and there, like Sophia the prostitute when you ask for any of her services, the game screen goes blank and stays that wat requiring a restart. The spelling and grammar could use a little bit of touching up, especially during the sex scenes

-BUT-

It's still something to be really proud of. I'd give you a sizeable donation, but unfortunately I'm unemployed currently. I can't afford to. I really look forward to the potential of future developments. If possible, I'd like to see the potential of sex scenes at the end of the game with the side you chose whenever you talk to them (maybe I just haven't unlocked it, but I haven't seen them at the end of the game). But do keep it up. You've done amazingly well for a first time game maker ^^

Thank you! But those aren't bug, those are compatible issues between RPG Maker XP and your OS, this game has voice clips, and the "mini-sex" scenes such as the prostitute is all audio. :3

So... how do you get the voices to work? Is there any way to hammer this issue out for XP, or a work around?
