It hasn't exactly been a secret. BUT HEY! They let anyone post as long as its furry, so what-do-ya-know, it ain't just a pro-cub site that progresses the ultra-liberal cub Illuminati agenda.
Sorry if that came across as acidic, but the journals in protest of IB are all pretty much ridiculous. If you don't want to give it ago, that's cool. To each his own.
It seems many people seem to think it's a site that is planning to replace FA.
In reality it's a site where you are suppose to upload your best works and offer them as prints/digital downloads.
In my case, I'll be posting prints/portfolios/comics/etc on that site, So that prints can be made on demand or you can simply just order a digital copy of the whole thing.
Of course, I would be advertising all of that when it comes on here and several other websites.
So, probably create an account if you intend to make purchases of the sort.
well it works both ways the artist who did the commission also needs the permission of the client to sell the work (if it involves characters copyrighted to the client)
Uploading artwork to DA recently I discovered that you can set up shops to sell prints and the likes as well. I think I would go there to sell prints before IB, but that's just me. I do wish ya luck there. :)
Honestly, I'm not seeing anymore cub artwork there than what I see here. I*'m not exactly sure where people are getting the cub thing from. Pretty much every art site that contains adult artwork has cub, or shota, or whatever its called, and usually has a filter option. Easy Fix.
I will think this is a terrible site until I am one year older. Even then I will feel odd as if the site is going to specifically be for porn and selling prints of it.
I don't see how cub porn is an issue over at inkbunny with keyword blocking in play.
And a benefit is that the sales serves as the donation to the site, instead of a banner on the side asking for donations every time you visit a page here on FA.
It allows people who don't/ can't view porn to join and not view porn anyways. Inkbunny is 100% expecting porn. FA has the acceptance that porn is not a requirement for artists.
Sorry I meant how fa has a age requirement of 13 and inkbunny's is 18. Inkbunny has a mature filter but they do not use it to allow underage viewers and restrict adult content like FA can. It is a difference and as time goes, it is a significance as new people want to enter in the fandom.
Are you honestly trying to tell me that any substantial portion of the users on either FA or Inkbunny are being truthful about their age levels? I wasn't 18 when I joined and I still had the adult content on. I'm pretty sure that applies to some 75% of the user base.
If anything, FurAffinity's the worser culprit here. The fact they allow minors onto a largely pornographic site in the first place is much worse than Inkbunny's half-hearted protection.
Furries are not all about porn and you are perpetuating a stereotype and bringing everyone else down
Porn is a big part of it, but not the only thing which is what you are making it out to be
I read most of it and was commenting on a particular part I felt was incorrect
FA has plenty of clean art and there is more clean than porn, just no one looks at it
If this new site wants to put a 18 limit that's fine, but don't bash FA for allowing minors to look at the clean things, since if they want to lie about their age they can look at the porn, the other site is no different
Not everyone should have to break the law or terms of service to get what they want. I know I can make up a fake age but you know that gets users Banned and I am not joining to get banned.
There is absolutely no way for them to know you're lying about your age, unless you just act so incredibly immature that you can't possibly be older than 13.
Besides that? I didn't say anybody should. I said they do. Yes, somebody would have to be very immature to do that, but those immature people are precisely who the rule is designed to keep off of the site.
as artists they cannot disguise their own art style. I'm not claiming myself to be a very good artist in any way whatsoever but a style is almost like a fingerprint. Sure there are artists that are close to one another but an admin seeing a weak connection between two things will most likely lead to a ban after connecting the dots. ^^;
My father, now 60, can only draw stick figures. If I'm reading this right, the banhammer would strike him down swiftly and righteously if that were the case.
Ah, I just kinda assumed it was started as direct competition by someone. It's been pretty nice to browse so far though, since artists are mainly uploading the best of their work.
That actually sounds pretty cool. I only really heard of Inkbunny today, so all I've really seen of it is a few big name artists setting up accounts and the usual masses of furry bawwwing.
Currently it's only slow because everybody's joining all at once, since it just started yesterday. I'll reserve speed judgement until the dust has settled.

But seriously, it's really not a big cub orgy.

I think inkbunny is gonna be a really good site. :3

and I dont like it at all :/
please stay on FA aswell ? :P
It actually takes a lot of time and debate before I even consider dropping a site.
well I kinda made a decision to drop Inkbunny .. minutes after joining it xD

Inkbunny: A site where furries post lots of porn and sell porn prints.
FurAffinity: A site where furries post lots of porn and sell porn commissions.
Neither site encourages porn over any other art form. Read through Inkbunny's policies - porn is never mentioned.
If anything, FurAffinity's the worser culprit here. The fact they allow minors onto a largely pornographic site in the first place is much worse than Inkbunny's half-hearted protection.

I certainly will be uploading more G-rated artwork on there :3 (prints of those are easier to sell)
I mean D:
Says it all.
I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO I AM ANYMORE! D:
Think more of a companion site if anything :3
But it could never replace or compete with FA because of IB's upload policy :3
p.s.: Your new icon is SUPER ADORABLE
