Damn son, you should know by now that being a starving artist sucks. xD You should really look into learning web design, I know a guy who pulls in some good cash on the side of his job doing that stuff. Muuuuuch better opportunity for business than drawing commissions.

I was lined up at several places for orientation. I called in to stay on their radar and they outright told me they went with someone else ._.

Pffffft don't be like that, several places turn you down, go for several more. Remember, we're in a recession, lots of people need jobs, and businesses are hit hard as well, hiring less. Just keep at it and try shooting for broader horizons. Try a busing job or janitorial job or something. xD Yeah you're GOOD at art, but you don't need to be a PRO at anything to get a minimum wage job somewhere stocking shelves or answering phones to telemarketing.

Of course I'm not saying it like you're lazy or not trying or anything. I'm sure you're trying hard and you're the only one wh can really tell if you're putting in your all or not. Just gotta chug along and keep applying. Tis the way of the working world.
