--The Absence--
The Absence features many voices, many sounds, and many noises, discordant and cacophonous. This is the sound of your conscious life - the sound of everything that passes you in the day. The voices you hear are narrating an eyewitness report of an extraordinary occurrence - there is a meaning behind this, but it is so ambiguous, it can be taken in any form you wish. The mysterious and unknown sounds and radio static are to remind you that the conscious life is sudden, short, and often harsh, but with many mysteries.
--Insomnia--
Insomnia opens with more noise. These are the noises that keep you awake at night, these are your worries, your concerns and your problems. As you drift into your sub-consciousness, your worries and concerns fade away. These are not for you to worry about now. Insomnia is the first of your dreams, as you are lifted from the stress of conscious life into a a calming, hypnotic ambience designed to float on.
--Solar Quiescence--
Your soul is taken off the surface of this jittery planet and cast into your own perfect utopia, built especially for you in an alternate dimension known as your sub-conscious. This is inaccessible to anybody but yourself - and the things you choose to have in there. It is your perfect haven. (The track is so-called as when I listened to this, my personal journey took me to a forgotten, thriving nebula in the deepest space.)
--Andrzej--
Andrzej is the first thing you allow into your Universe. It represents a like-minded soul and individual. As you absorb your world, all of your Earthly problems vanish for good and you are able to recall the finer points. Everyone you've ever loved, all of your friends and family are represented in this track, and it is these memories you keep close to you.
--Halcyon Hill--
Halcyon Hill is the absolute peak of your tranquility. It is almost as if you feel sleepy, even in the sub-conscious. You are finally alone with your happiness, with your utopian thoughts and memories, and there isn't a worry in your world. Your safe world.
--Embers At Sunset (The Absence Remix)--
Content, and with an eternal smile upon your face, you watch your world drift by. If there's tides, they lap softly. If there's sky, the clouds pass by. If there's plants, they sway slowly in a breeze. If there's time, it passes slowly. You see your world spin by. (This track is a remastered and remixed version of a track from 2009, tweaked especially for this album).
--A Short Dream About Love--
Written in some scrappy diary back in the conscious Universe, your writing recalls your favourite Earth dream - the one you had about your soulmate, while you were curled up next to them. Any dream you have on Earth is possible to re-enact here, and you use these moments to happily recount your love you have experienced thus far, safe in the knowledge that no matter how dark it may get at times on Earth, it is forever light in your Universe.
--Stargaze--
A short, simple dream, reminding you that whenever the conscious world seems to be getting you down, remember that your journey through life is just a game. And whereas you might have not played this level how you would like, you'll nail the next one. Because you've deserved that success.
--Horizon--
Your time in your sub-conscious is coming to a close. Your world senses it is time for you to return, and it delivers a gentle goodbye, followed by a booming, anthemic melody, to take with you on your journey back, to remind you that it will be waiting for you next time you choose to visit.
--Stockholm--
Stockholm represents the journey from your Universe back to the conscious existence. As you travel, you experience bumpy unpleasantness as your consciousness returns to you. This journey is harsh - it has to be, to avoid your conscious thoughts and worries entering your private Utopia. You eventually land back in your consciousness.
--Wake Up--
You are awoken. Unsure of whether you just experience your Utopia or just dreamt it. You are confused, but satisfied. The track sees off the album in a harsh manner, but confirms the opening to your Utopia is now closed - until next time you return to your wonderful, placid dreamscape. Because it is there when you need it.
