I'm Moving On... Growing...

Hello All,
Due to recent changes in FA's policy on Photomorphs, my mAnimals series will no longer be posted here. As you know, my mAnimals are full morphs of men with animalistic qualities. Not quite full furries, and that raises a red flag here with the new policy. Now before you guys go complaining, I see exactly what they are saying. I got some tips from the staff as to what is acceptable and what is not. I am in agreement with this so far, and also have petitioned nicely to see if what I already have posted can stay, because the mAnimal morphs show a distinct evolution to full, FURRY morphs. One thing is for sure, the changes will force me to go into the drawing end of my style: taking the "morphed" style and translating it into a graphic style. And I know some of you, especially my mentors, want to see that happen. The meticulousness of my morphs will be evident in my drawing style, too! So I thank the Staff for the guidelines. They make this a wonderful place.
Now what about my morphing style? Well, you will see FULL FURRIES in 3D morph style from now on. In fact, several people told me that they prefer that. No probs. Actually, when I do create full morphs, it's in steps: The body gets a FULL morph, and the head and other animal parts get "tweaked" and are blended in. Then I add a background. This makes my mAnimals. Now to get to the next step, which will be posted here, I photoshop (etc.) the final picture into a furried being. I have no secrets: I always tell you how it's done. You can go to my Yahoo 360 page (http://360.yahoo.com/kristiaan.rm) for more, in-depth explaining.
And where will I have my mAnimals in case you missed them? Go to www.dineegla.com ! The website is not functioning fully yet (anyone interested in helping me? I have only a little Dreamweaver experience). My website will run in conjunction with another furry website like this one. In fact, I am a full moderator there. Also, I will be starting my "sales" site at www.furzy.org , where I will take commissions, give art lessons, and work in conjunction with the parent website.
All in all, I think these are great changes for me. I am not leaving FA - in fact, I will contribute more than ever after AC. I LOVE it here as well as my first love: Deviant ART. You guys don't know how blessed we are in FF for things like these sites. Don't take them for granted!

Some of you know Zak Rhino came and spent almost a week with me. Part of that was to help me straighten my home up after the move. And boy, he did a bang up job and all the rooms are now fully functional (especially the bedrooms!). Um, wait. That didn't come out quite like I wanted to say it... oh well. We had a great time and went to a lot of restaurants, shopped for clothes for AC, went to Dick Blick, showed me where MWFF will be held (boy, do I live close by!), and went to CDW (computer discount warehouse) for "toys!" (heh heh). He went home yesterday, and my Gia pup (German Shep) misses him terribly.
Finally, I hope to see you at AC. I really do! I have met such nice people in person so far, and I know I will have a great time. My first Con. Sweeeet ....

As of the website..well I'm by no means any expert, but I do know how to use Dreamweaver. I like to use it to mess around, yet I forgot how to log on the site where my website is hosted ;~;
At least you'll be coping <3 See you around and at AC!
And it`s nice to see that you`ve other projects as well so my best wishes for you on that. :)
And yeah, I posted to Kensik's journal.
*sighs*
That sucks really. I mean, art is not only drawing and such is also reinventing and improving. Your morphs are great and, I personally think that they BELONG here! I mean, that's the point of this page! They can't see your talent or what?!
Sorry about that, daddy *hugs ya* At least is good to know you're not leaving. But It's still sucks :/
and so cool to read about Zak ^^ he seems like a really nice person! :)
*sad* and *happy*
I don't know what to say... just do what you feel good for it ok pap? ^^
Even though FA is a private corporation, its TOS, SA, and AUP are legal contracts and both FA (as a corporation) and the admins (both as individuals and in their official capacity) have no immunity from litigation for breach of contract.
For example, the Acceptable Upload Policy is exactly that - it is not an Acceptable Gallery Content Policy. If the admins remove your art without your authorization, that might be a breach of contract.
Those who are making the new rules could destroy FA by violating the common law contract rights of just one thoroughly pissed off individual. I hope that it doesn't happen, but here in America, litigation - rather than negotiation - to correct wrongful acts is an unfortunate way of life. A contractual provision such as "The corporation reserves the right to do anything that it wants any time it wants," is entirely worthless in American courts.
Again, ART is such a subjective thing. If left alone, it grows and matures, and it is beautiful. If "played" with and forced to follow guidelines, you get things like officials putting on "fig leaves" on Michelangelo's DAVID in the Post-Renaissance Era. Or worse, the abuse of art during world war II by the Nazis. By the way, my background includes a load of courses in Art History and Art Appreciation. I minored in it.
You are correct about the dangers of subjective art censorship. FA is moving in a disfunctional and very regrettable direction.
Good people given arbitrary and capricious (subjective judgement) powers frequently are seduced into quite remarkably bad behavior. It appears to me that power has gone to their heads. See the Stanford Prison Guard Experiment, now available in a book called "The Lucifer Effect; Understanding How Good People Turn Evil" by Dr. Paul Zimbardo. Further data at:
http://www.lucifereffect.com/
and

I would characterize the FA personnel who made these rules as obstinately misguided or ignorant rather than evil, but I'm beginning to understand how deviantART went so badly wrong. The power to make arbitrary and capricious rules warps minds - even good ones...
