Well, to start off with...a couple weeks ago I had to rush my mom to the emergency room. She was released the next morning, but no sooner did she get home when they called and had to admit her into the hospital itself for a couple of days.

She was diagnosed wit a very severe UTI (urinary tract infection) that had not only messed up her bladder, but had even gotten into her blood stream and into her heart. Needless to say, they had to schedule her for a heart-stress test followed by who knows what else. After her medication was gone she seemed to be doing a lot better...until the test she had yesterday.

They knew it wasn't good, but they didn't think it was severe so they sent her home to await the rest of the test results. This morning she got five more phone calls trying to get her back to the hospital ASAP. She had to have a procedure done to check the veins and arteries and whatnot as well as her heart. So, of course everyone's freaking out. Mom and dad request that I stay home because our neighbor is also very sick and in case he needs a ride to the hospital, I needed to stay home in case he needed help. So, I stayed home. I've been cleaning, doing my chores, and then of course I get a call from mom. My sister Kelly is driving in from Panama City Beach, and the doctors don't think my mom's condition is extremely serious and there was talk of releasing her. Of course, this is -before- the actual procedure. Needless to say, no sooner had I gotten off the phone with them when my neighbor calls.

My neighbor, who we have known since we first moved here (sixteen/seventeen years ago) is very sick and has to go back to the hospital. He requests I care for his cat, Calli (which actually she used to belong to us), while he is in the hospital. He already has a ride, so I am stuck waiting at home for mom. I get a couple more things done around the house and just as it was about to storm, I headed out to the store to get some things for the house - as well as some lunch.

As soon as I get home, I noticed I had two missed calls on my phone...I didn't even hear it ring, believe it or not, so I called back.

This is when I get the bad news.

My mom has 4 blocked arteries in her heart. She has to have a bypass surgery that is going to put her out of work for probably over six weeks - since she can't work now obviously.

I am horribly worried about this because she is now 60 years old, a diabetic, and has other problems too. Of course, she doesn't look 60..she looks like she's in her fourties. But she does have other health problems and I am freaking out..(mentally of course)...

On top of that, that leaves my dad to take care of us with retirement money. I haven't found a job yet other than commissions...and now that mom's going to be out of work for so long, we're going to be straggling for cash like crazy.

I've been trying to save up money to go visit my love  kiridragon at the beginning of august, but that money may now be used to help support me and my parents. I am hoping that more people will be willing to commission me so I have some sort of...income to help out.

This is not me begging for money. This is me asking for help..I would not make this up about my mother. She's in the hospital now as we speak and I'm trying to calm myself down.

This is helping, in a way, but I do need all of you guys' help. I will do anything to help my family out...yeah, we had our rough spots in the past..where I was almost kicked out and whatnot...BUT...

That doesn't mean I don't love them. I do. We may not get along at times, but even if I did move out..I would still try to help somehow. I know both my sisters will be trying to help but they have their own families to take care of...meanwhile, me - the youngest - is here at the house.

So please, help me out. I don't want to make things more stressful on my parents with the money situation. Mom is close enough as it is to having a fatal heart attack and I'm just trying to keep her from stressing out.

I will do any sort of commission sale. I will do buy one get one, or 2$ sketches, or something. As it is I may be doing another -cheaper- sale. I will have the info for that soon...but please keep an eye out. Please spread the word.

Just please help...I don't have many active watchers, but I have gained quite a few in the past weeks...so if you all could spread the word, or do something, anything..it'd help alot. Just a couple of dollars here and there would do more than you would think. I'm putting money in my savings account so I don't go spending it..I'm scrounging up change for later..I'm doing whatever I can to help. I'm doing more than my fair share of chores as it is. As soon as I am done with this journal, I will be getting back to work on cleaning. I will have a commission pricing later. Keep my mom in your thoughts...The closest family member I have lost was my uncle, and he was out of state so it didn't affect me so bad..I lost one of my friends a couple years ago and I never got to say goodbye...but this is my mom. Despite our differences, she has been there in the worst of times (despite her..personality), and the best of times. ...

and I can't type anymore..i'm tearing up..
