A quick update of my crazy misadventure. 12th journal
18 years ago
This is my head.
I got some good news for the situation I'm in. For those who don't know, read http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/156159/ for the start of the long story of Uncle Monty's Big Misadventure. You'll cry, you'll laugh, You'll die, and then be born again.
So the insurance company called today and said they are settling the theft claim at long last. The insurance people are actually quite fast (and nice), it's just that it took a long (way too long) time to get that autotheft case number from the lazy police. gah! that was a headache. Since the car's location is still unknown, they are paying off the car and sending a check for the difference. I'm getting a check since they valued the car over what is owed to the finance company (I guess they used the higher bluebook value). A nice bonus but still far below what I loss to that guy. Still, it made a small dent and I'm happy with the outcome.
Best I could hope for concidering the circumstances I was in. Could have been worse... much worse. I learned my lesson, that's for sure. Never ever will I trust humans again. Want to borrow money from me? I'll bite your arm off. Want me to co-sign for you? I'll bite your leg off. Need me to trust your wholeheartly? I'll bite your head off and use it to bowl with. I'm done with all that trusting stuff (Who am I kidding? I'll probably do it again). I have such a soft heart. Maybe I should have used fresh formaldehyde in the jar. *shrugs*
On a lighter note, I saw Ratatouille last Saturday along with my brother and his kids. I enjoyed the movie and had a good time. I don't go out to the theaters often at all(the last Star Wars movie was the previous one I went to). So I finally decided to go one. I heard good things about Rataouille (Plus I figured the kids would like it). Althought my nephew wanted to see explosions (maybe we'll see Transformers later). No supprise there. My neice did enjoyed it well enough.
I do recommend you all to see This movie. It's Very nicely done. Got very high reviews. One of few complaints I read is that some critics thought it was too long. The funny thing, I thought it was a bit short. Some parts seemed cut short and rushed to save time to me. I guess it the difference of actually watching the movie and not one's wristwatch. Perhaps they should paid attention to Ego's monolog toward the end of the movie (all critics should in fact).
There are a few notable scenes I like to list (Potential spolier alert: You might want to avert you eyes and skip this paragraph if you haven't seen it yet). One scene that sticks out is the betrail where Remy took the whole clan of rats inside the kitchen. When he relised his mistake really hit close to home. Another good scene is when Remy was chased with the will and letter in his mouth. Well done choragraphed animation there. Also the scene of Ego's flashback stood out. Talk about a relevation.
One other thing, I done two OC (Open Canvas) sessions in one day. Can you believe it? Oh the madness. They are in my scraps page if you want to be scarred for life. Hehe, I rarely do them and it's nice to get back into the groove. A bit rusty on the first session but getting better on the second one. Though I still had the damn tablet pen cutting out most (almost all) of the time. It's a bug in OC since it works fine in other software. I did finally figured out what the problem was. It seems that OC can't handle the pen if I start off too fast. A bummer but I l learned to slow down (I hate it but I'll deal with it). I don't think the bugs will ever get fixed since they haven't updated the program in a long time.
Update: bad news this time at http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/161885/ . I figured as much. The pattern continues. I just hope it'll stop on a good news part.

are working out for you!

I wanna see Ratatoullie! :<
It'll be a long while before I can trust anyone again. I been disappointed time and time again. Something that I'm learning even though my thick skull.
And thing really sad thing, he had so many chances to set things straight. But he rather play instead. Now he'll pay. Ignore one's future at one's peril. I still don't understand how he could think it'll end in any different. Get it over with now, or it's going to be worse later.
Now go see Ratatouille! Do it now! This I command! Don't walk, run!
Needless to say, I really liked the movie. ;) The animation made me drool (especially as a budding 3d artist myself). The fur and water effects are stunning. And the background very detailed. Plus the plot is good too. Really rounds out the package. Goes to show you that there is hope for the movie industry after all.
So, uncle Monty tells you to see this movie. Or he'll spank ya. Unless you're into that sort of thing, then he'll not. Either way, I look forward to your report of the movie.
