I tried to get out, but they pull me back in. 13th journal

This is my head.
Dammit! Dammit! dammit! I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! I just knew I was going to get some bad new. The wild roller coaster ride continues. Now it swings back to the bad news. For those who don't know the situation, read http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/156159/ (Warning: it's an absurdly long story). Basically I tried to help someone and got betrayed... very badly.
I got a call from the detective for the vehicle theft case. After explaining what happened, he told me it was a civil matter (Gah!) and not a criminal one. And the case number and look out report withdrawn. So now they won't be looking the so obviously stolen car. Talk a out getting punched in the gut. I felt like being victimize again. He basically said that they don't have the time to investigate thes so-called "civil" matters when the have to go after "real" criminals. I swear, they just don't want to help the victims at all.
This really complicates things as the insurance guys already settled the claim. Once I got the case number in the first place (A huge pain to do that urned out to be useless), the insurance was quick. They where actually helpful for a change. They are quite "progressive" to say the least. Now with the case taken away, I don't know what will happen to the claim.
I called the claims representative and he doesn't know how it'll effect the claim. He'll find out later today or tomorrow morning. I hope it doesn't changes things (I'm sure it will though). So I'm back in that one particular nightmare (I'm still battling a few others, just not as bad as this one).
The detective suggest asking the "thief" (he's still in jail for those who didn't read the full story) where the car is or I'll file charges. I'm thinking more on the lines "I don't want the hassle of a trail, so if tell me where the car is, I'll drop the charges". I hoping that'll scare him enough to spit out the location. I somehow doubt it though but worth a try. My options are running out quickly. I got a few other ideas but don't know where to start.
If I get the ultra rare good news in the morning, then I should be ok. But I don't count on it. I have a couple of people to call to see what else I can do. *pulls his horn off* I don't think I can take anymore bad news.
Edit: Now back to the good news at http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/162610/

Where do you live at?
No good deeds go unpunished as they say. I thought laws was supposed to protect the victims. I was wrong. Oh so wrong. :( I desperately hope it'll turn around again.
On a serious note, that sucks and I hope the claim will fall through anyways. That's th least they should do for your injustice. :< (I'm glad I stayed up with this story so I'm not all lost on the issue, yay!)
Sorry that you are having more problems with your dell. I heard their customer support is poor from Dell's consumer division. The business side is supposedly much better.
When I bought that Dell for my aunt, I got it from the small business division on sale. Not only was it actually cheaper than the equivalent computers on the consumer side (a little secret I found out) but also build better. I bought it a several years ago and have no hardware problems with it so far.
If you even want to buy a Dell again, stay way from the consumer side. Also look at the deal sites (I have a few that I visit if you want them) for sales and coupons codes that occasionally gets posted. You can save hundreds that way.
Anyway, I hope it'll work out for you and your computer holds up till you get the right parts. Maybe it's suffering from excess heat. It seems to be a common problem. Add a fan or two to see if it helps. Also check out the power supply and memory. I had a memory stick go out and know a few people with dead power supplies.
