On monday while at work I happen to notice a small bird standing on the floor of the truck repair shop I work in

It didn;t seem to be afraid when I walked a little close to it...so I knelt down and tapped the floor....and it hopped closer

So reached for it..and it hopped into my hand....not believing I just was able to walk up and pick up a wild bird I got back up...


I knew something had to be wrong with it...


I carried it to the office area where my sister works...it seemed alright...walking around my hand and my sister's hand...walking around a desk...we tried feeding it some wild bird seed...but it just kept trying to sleep in my hand...never trying to fly away



unsure of what to do my sister got a box and filled it with some grass and leaves..and some wild bird seed and bread....we placed the bird in it and didn't know what else to do...for it would not fly away


about ten minutes after placing it in the box it started rolling onto its back...I picked it up again and it kept doing it...I realized the reason I could walk up and pick up the bird in the first place was because it must have been dying..

I placed it back in the box....and watched for another 3 minutes before it stopped rolling and layed still....and died....I buried Beaky between two trees by the driveway to the shop

.......R.I.P Beaky.......the last hour of your life was spent in the compnay of me and my sister...and I hope it was better than alone out in the heat of the outside...
