Alrighty! The judges, Sarovak, and myself have finally chosen which stories we liked best. It was the first time tossing such a contest so I apologize if it was a bit sloppy. ^^ I have learned what I should do next time if I put together a contest like this again! :) Anyways... without further procrastination... here are our top choices. I'll try to give a little description about our choices. ^^
1st Place-
- "The Real Thing" http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4047186
-This was the top choice between most of us. With an interesting utilization of mental control (not actual hypnosis but by fiddling with certain chemical factors in the brain) as well as a nice twist at the end, this story was selected in first place.

- "The Deep Jungle" http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4299310
-An interesting story involving a lion getting hypnotized by a lizard. Unfortunately the story didn't fall under one of the criteria of the contest, otherwise would've placed second in the contest, but could still win a runner up prize or Sarovak's choice. And this story was one of
's favourite choice. The reason for this choice, according to Sarovak was that... even if it didn't follow the rules... it did have originality. It had "plenty of pesky scalies", a big bonus due to the lizards being brothers, and the 'delicious' way the hypnosis was induced. As well, even if the story didn't fit one of the criteria. Sarovak was allowed to choose his favourite independent from the judges.

2nd Place -
- Dreams of Ghost - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4235242/
-Another favourite pic between the judges. The hypnosis utilized in the story was drug-induced. But, an interesting factor was that it was done over a period of days instead of being instantaneous, which was a positive factor for it. The ending itself wasn't anything to spectacular, but there was a great buildup and good development of characters and personalities for the brothers. And, according to one of the judges... which this didn't actually factor into the decision but it is nonetheless funny to hear... is that he used tags. XD

-DPDragon - "Embodiment of Power" - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4295268/
-A fairly good story with a nice controlling scene of a tranced non-anthro dragon towards the beginning. Unfortunately, due to the story's rushed nature towards the end, it wasn't able to qualify for first or second place. Still, it did get points for having an interesting background.
-Taiko and Dregna's - Candle of Lust - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4228700
-An interesting story that had a nice usage of hypnosis and an interesting backdrop.
-Brake - Avian Circus - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4282499/
-Another interesting story that greatly reminded me of Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes" with how the circus was presented... and the hypnotist, the dragon, reminded me greatly of Mr. Dark.
Anyways, there you have it. Our choices! Thank you once more to everyone who participated in my first attempt at a contest! :) And even if you didn't win I have to thank you all for entering the contest and adding several more hypnosis stories for everyone to enjoy. Yes, I know I limited the species a bit... but still allowed you creativity in writing up the characters since, well, stories seem a tad bit more fun when the characters are designed with the story :) I will post a journal later letting everyone see links to each entry and would also suggest... under a friend's suggestion XD... to try adding your stories to Sofurry as well. Course, that's up to you.
The clean contest winners will be announced in a couple of days! :D

Have to thank Zsisron for hosting a contest like this, and the gift he's giving out to the winners <3 Was glad it sparked motivation for talented writers (such as all of you) to write hypnotic shenanigans for the rest of us to enjoy <3
Congrats to the winners! I'll definitely give these a read. Like, right now. :D
Next time I'll add more species too... so as to give people more flexibility. Like... horse, bovine, bat... otter... a few more. ^^
To all the writers, I am enjoying them all heh. Z you should like archive the stories on an account somewhere on FA or on another site. Just a thought.
It's too bad I didn't come across the contest when it just started... I missed a month's worth of time on it! If I had, I probably would have been able to complete a *lot* more than that.
It wasn't rushed just near the end, either, though it's most apparent there... I started having to cut things out right after the first hypnosis scene with Saela and Tarith, since I knew I was gonna have a real rough time putting things together before the deadline.
Is anyone interested in hearing what I had to cut?
I look forward to seeing the next contest... I'll definitely jump on it early next time!
I keep playing with the idea of fixing the story, though! So you just might see those scenes added into it...
Once I do finish it, I'll likely split it into a handful of chapters and put them up on SoFurry.

Hmm...but, seeing as Dregna and I have a shared story, would that mean that the picture would contain only one of us? Or would we be allowed something different (I'm NOT expecting anything like one of Sar's pics; just asking out of curiosity)?
Now I hope the Clean Division is judged soon, I'm really eager to see if I won anything...
Thanks for the compliment though, I did enjoy writing the story and it was good to have a purpose and motivation for writing again.
