Adding additional species to the list cannot be difficult, since Apple was added (as a prank) just over a year-and-a-bit ago. I can see why the admins/devs are reluctant to do it - they keep talking about Ferrox, the next version of FurAffinity. They don't want to waste time fixing the current system, because they're focused on what the next one will offer... But working as a software engineer myself, I know that this sort of attitude doesn't cut it with customers. Get rid of apple, add half a dozen other missing species (including cows!) and everyone will be happy! :)

Spots: A svelte young 'phin with mottled grey flesh, the origin of his name quite obvious. Standing about 5'7" and weighing at 232 lb, his body is built for speed in the water, his smooth, streamlined body a living, nearly uniform grey-colored torpedo. He's a grayish white over his ventral/front from the neck base to the groin, with a more uniform grey pigmentation along the rest of his body, becoming a darker grey from his neck base to his tail base and around to his rear. You do note a dozen or so dark off-black spots about his abs from mid-drift to waistline as well as a half dozen white spots on either thigh, coming close to sliding over his rear, before moving on up to finish their appearance on either side of his thick tail base.
Unlike many a phin-morph one has seen, he sports a pair of abbreviated pectoral fins along the lower arms' outsides, only half-as long as the dorsal fin on his mid back. The aforementioned tail partially conjoins his rear's upper-point, but still allows a lot of flexible "leg room" around and between them, as the rear appendage extends nearly all the way to the floor, before curling up slightly in order to allow the wide flukes at the end to avoid sliding across the floor.
He wears only a pair of blue, high density, neoprene dive trunks with flared black side panels to accentuate his waistline and a drawstring for adjustable waist.
