Hey y'all. I have decided once and for all that I am sick of choosing "Mammals / Other" As my species. FA should have a cow tab!!! I WANT A FREAKING COW TAB! So, I am making free icons for everyone who posts the following in a journal, and titles it something that will make people read it and spread it around.
"Furaffinity needs a Bovine species tab for the cow/bull furs! :3

Good LORD that and a piggy pig pig one too. How are some of the most COMMON farm animals not given their own slots in the species list? Do people think they're not worth drawing?
I think it'll be good for FA to re evaluate their species list and take the ridiculous apple off and put on some of the better animals instead. Lets here it for a Bovine slot!

I wish there was one for sheep, but there don't seem to be many sheepies on here sadly.

And what about us goat-oriented furries? WE Dont have a tab either! There needs to be like a whole entire mess of hooved creatures getting their say in the species thing. u_u I am very okay with the idea of having a cow tab. And a goat tab. And a deer tab.
Try to think about it, at least from a programmer's angle: Given that so many artists have used (and abused) the Apple tab over the past 5 years by applying it to unlisted species (and on the other hand, nonsense pictures), the utter deletion of that tab could have a few undesirable side-effects. One may be that those submissions would become "corrupted data", as the new "Apple-less" site would be unable to recognize such a tab: A computer, database, or even a website can't literally recognize something it doesn't "know" how to recognize. The solution to this problem could be leaving the tab as "read-only" in the future while discontinuing it's selectability as a valid tab so older pages wouldn't cease to be recognizeable.
Thaaaat, or they could just leave "Apple" open altogether for compatability reasons, maybe the lulz too.
Very sorry if I'm sounding like a Mr. Fatty McSmarty-Pants, I was only pointing out what might occur in a certain scenario. I like analyzing things too much~ x3

Besides, the species list has one glaring defect: What if you have more than one species in a pic?
One other site (I don't remember which) was cited as having tried to accommodate a species list as some want it to be. It eventually had so many species listed that it became a chore to use and people stopped using it.
