with all the different furs that are out there, everyone should have their own tab!!!!! got this from someone's journal....
"Hey y'all. I have decided once and for all that I am sick of choosing "Mammals / Other" As my species. FA should have a cow tab!!! I WANT A FREAKING COW TAB! So, I am making free icons for everyone who posts the following in a journal, and titles it something that will make people read it and spread it around.
"Furaffinity needs a Bovine species tab for the cow/bull furs! :3

instead of browsing by species, you could simply click on something in a word cloud vs a list when species came up. that would allow for typos to be understood by the reader regardless of what it actually says, =OR you could have an automated dictionary word filter out typos and ask "Did you mean Zebra?" if you typed Zebrq
Adding a dictionary check would make such a system even more superior then the one over at rule34 which is hand checked.
I realize it would be a lot of work, and quite a change to those familiar to the list system,
but perhaps it would work.
Then again, they may be limiting the number of species so that when someone Browses by species, he/she/shi/hir/it is assured of getting a decent number of results.
then again, some current combos turn up less then 3 or 2 pictures... maybe a change is needed.
I think i totally fit into that category somehow
it should be a checklist u can check off whichever ones match the best...cuz right now if u have like a wolf and a tiger in the same pic, u cant pick a species
Animal > Mammal > Feline > Cat
Plant > Fruit > Citrus > Orange
Inanimate > Toys > Mobile > Car
Fictional > Paranormal > Dr. Lovecraft > Chulthu
Other > Game > 8-bit > Metroid
Once you picked the first box, the second box would automatically show options based on the first, Just like when you go to an automotive website to look up info about a car it goes:
Brand > year > model > engine size
that would be a complex system, but it is very similar to the way the browse system works already. right?
a list with check boxes would be way too long
