I had a friend who sent a note to an admin and maybe got a few others to do it and they put Canid - Jackal on the list within a couple days. An icon contest is cool... but to spam FA with MAKE COWS A SPECIES CHOICE in the hopes an admin will notice or get inundated with them... seems a bit silly.

Plus I can make my own avatars so I'm less charmed I guess. :P

Well it seems that this is like a petition. A lot of people asking for the same thing should certainly get the admins' attention.

I'm just saying there's a much more effective way to do it. I think the ulterior motive of this person is to run a contest to get more publicity and risk pissing off the FA staff which is counterproductive to the alleged original purpose.
