Litter training? scratching everything in sight? or just frustration due to her being underfoot all the time?

Litter training is fine, we use soft paws s the scratching isn't a major concern, but she has to get into everything. She is always jumping up on the counters to check out the food, that is currently being cooked on the stove, she trys to get on top of the plasma TV, she tries to knock the pictures we have on the wall down, she try\ies to chew on our shoes, on the other trinkets, my wacom pen....

We broke our cat of that by using a water gun.
Our cat likes feet. I"m totally serious, she has this foot fetish, but only for mine. If I take my shoes off, she'll come over and just go apeshit crazy chewing/rubbing/clawing at my foot.

surprisingly I'm using an air can for the cat when he starts trying to claw the chair or chew on plastic...mainly those sheet protectors I have....with art in it >.<

Air cans are great also, I keep a can near the computer for just such occasions.
Maybe the cat has good taste in art?

I've found that hissing at them is just as effective - it's how a mother cat would reprimand her kittens in the wild. The trick is you must get the sound right or they won't respond. You can do it by pressing the back of your tongue against your throat and breathe out really hard, keeping your throat open and trying for the cleanest sound you can. Hiss, not choke.

If they jump a foot in the air and stare at you with huge, injured eyes after you do it the first time, you're doing it right. Added bonus is they learn to respect you and not your tools.
