NOTE If you are looking for some specific information in here, hit 'CTRL F' on your keyboard and type in a word of what you're looking for, it will go straight to it.

The Rules for Submitting a piece:

1. You can NOT submit any Media that is not yours. This community is for Artist's who want to better themselves. We are not a pimping community, and we are not forcing ourselves on anyone, despite how kind you think you are being to so-and-so. I reiterate; DO NOT SUBMIT ANY MEDIA TYPE YOU DID NOT CREATE.

2. We WILL NOT ACCEPT shouts on the front page. You must note us with this form filled out: Go Here!

3. You may only send us a request to have something posted and reviewed ONCE A DAY. Why? So that your previous piece gets the full time it can to be viewed.

4. If you are submitting an art piece it MUST be watermarked. If it isn't, we will not accept it. If you would like us to watermark it for you, please ASK. Realize this might stop your piece from being posted for a few days, depending on who receives your note. EDIT: A signature is considered a watermark! Anything on the image just to show you own the piece.

5. Once you submit a piece, you must comment on AT LEAST one other person's work. Doesn't matter whose, and how in depth your comment is (However, It must be longer then 2 sentences.). This way, we can have a full circle effect.

6. We do not tolerate Rule Breaking / Flaming the front page / Attacking Admins for doing what they do. A warning will be given, and further bad behavior will result immediately in blocking.

7. Fetish / Adult / Genres that may offend some viewers will be uploaded with clear warning in the Thumbnail. Therefore anyone who views it, is fully prepared for the image. Harassment, or leaving negative comments, will not be tolerated. At all.

8. Pieces that are going to be/or are currently being sold in an Auction will NOT be allowed here. If in the distant future ( lets say a year for example ), the piece finds its way in to an Auction, that's fine. If we are tipped off that you have just auctioned the art off, you will be banned and black listed from our group. Meaning we will send out a note to any and all groups who have a similar style. If the piece has already been sold / auctioned off before you have posted it here to be critiqued, then you will be allowed to post here, with your word it will not be sold again.

However, Commissions, Trades, etc, are allowed. We like to think commissions are a set number to a set party, and you have the right to follow our critique or not to give the party the best image. Auctions are a perfect image slapped on a website to get the highest bidder for some quick cash. Please don't argue with us on this one.

9. If you have a problem with Rule #7, and feel you should be getting a cut of their profits for critiquing their work, then DO NOT CRITIQUE. You have NO RIGHTS to their money, unless they 1. Trace your redlines or 2. Take the exact image you have drawn for them, and sell it. Any argument with this rule will result in Banning, we're tired of arguing.

Because I don't want any trouble with the idea of stealing, or just so happening to be a format for stealing from. ^^; How nice of a place would it be to drop by and have a gallery full of sketches / lineart.

Could you make it not red, but at least bold/underline the really important parts? I have to strain my eyes to read it. ^^; Sorry. X3

The only reason it was read because there was a section under each part, but I took them out and made it their own section and I forgot to undue the red. XD No problem.

How would you deal with works that cover several pages -- a novella, for instance?

Just add whose it by in the beginning or the end, written in to it. =) Like "TITLE by Blahblahblah"

I thought you meant putting a signature on it ( I just answered three notes about questions regarding signatures, sorry, I get easily confused with so much to answer ).

You fill out the form, and you can e-mail us the file for your story. helptoimprove[at]yahoo.com =) Just note us with the form filled out, and next to "Link to Submission" say "e-mailed to group".

We post it, and they critique it just like any other media. =)

What do you mean its not an FA page? We can't upload your file unless you give it to us, and then when you give it to us, we upload it to the fa page. I am very confused by your questions, can you be more clear?

The file is not uploaded through the FA submission page, but through email. I'm afraid I won't be able to use my email address.

I wanted to suggest an additional rule based on a submission I saw earlier today (it may have been from a few days ago). The submission in question wanted critiques for a piece that was going to be auctioned off for money. I think that if users are going out of their way to help another user improve it shouldn't be so they can pocket some extra money. Submissions, trades, and free requests seem like fair game, but I think if you're making money off of it it's not fair to leverage the free assistance of others. If you disagree feel free to delete this comment and foreget I ever made it, but I don't think it's an entirely unreasonable suggestion. Anyways that's my 2 cents. Keep up the awesome work.

The only pieces I have posted here myself, have been commissions. Unfortunately, I see it as, if someone is paying me money to draw them something in my style, I should be giving them the best piece of art I am capable of right now. So it's not like the critiquers are re-drawing the artwork and giving it to me (or anyone) to sell.

If I don't want to listen to anyone's critiques, I don't have to change anything, therefore, the commission honestly is all my work, and all everyone did was suggest things to me.

I'm sorry, but as the Creator and Maintainer of the group, I have to disagree with you. =\ I'm sorry.

Also, that piece was taken down, due to the outside party's policy rules. =) So no worries on that.

Fair enough. Like I said, it's just my opinion and if you disagree, as you do in this case, you're entitled to ignore it. I still think the group is a great idea and plan on continuing to contribute.

Thank you, means a lot to me. However, if it makes you feel better, after discussing the issue with other admins, we've decided as a group that Auctions that are currently being auctioned, or will be in the near future, will no longer be allowed in the group. ( See for yourself above =) ).

I think that's fair. I can see your point about already-paid comissioners wanting to give their clients the best possible product for their money, and I think I've come to terms with that. Active auctions, though, are a different matter entirely. Thanks for taking my opinion into consideration.
