Hello, Rouko! I'd like to submit my character for consideration in your contest.

What I have in mind is my character in a steampunk mad scientist outfit.

Working from the top down, she would of course be safety-conscious and wear her goggles. Depending on the composition, she might have them pushed up on her forehead as she contemplates imminent world domination.

Any good mad scientist always wears a white lab coat - double-breasted, in this case, with brass buttons. Either a modern style collar, in which case her elegant, ladylike blouse would be visible at the neck and throat (and possible a bit more, depending on how tight a fit the coat is), or a seriously sturm und drang-evoking high-collared lab coat. Either way, I think the coat would come to about mid-thigh on her. Again, depending on the composition, it may be necessary to figure out how to accommodate her tail. If her blouse is visible, it would be a delicate shade of butter yellow, indicating that she is indeed acquainted with the finer things in life.

Beneath that, she is wearing her favourite jodhpurs, in medium to dark green, accented with seam piping in antique gold or tarnished brass.

I'm not sure whether she would wear boots or not. A lot of furs don't, but they are generally digitigrade, and she is plantigrade. Her footwear of choice, though, would be gleaming, highly-shone cavalry boots, either in dark brown (a tone similar to her skin), or black.

For a pose, I think she would be perched on her lab bench, one leg dangling, one leg drawn up, and leaning back a bit, bracing herself on her arms.

Background I would leave entirely to your discretion, since I don't wish to disqualify myself by asking for something horribly complex. However, general feel would be gears, test tubes full of mysterious, bright purple bubbling concoctions, analogue gauges of various types, insanely large Tesla coils with ginormous sparks discharging from them - you get the general idea, I'm sure.

This is a military-themed coat, but I really liked the shoulder, breast and cuff details. Not so wild about the belt, and it's definitely longer than I have in mind. The buttons must, of course, be brass

I'm of two minds about this coat. I like that her blouse would be visible at the throat, but the buttons would need to be brass, and it would definitely have to be shorter.
