EFM Rules of Conduct
Come and join us at our next event! Check out our Fursvp page for more details!
It was suggested that I make a sort of rules page, similar to what
has on their forums. And as much as I hate to admit it, we do need some ground rules. Sadly not everyone in the fandom is mature, and this will help keep us from losing credit with the establishments we frequent. It will also make sure everyone has a good time and hopefully help us grow in number!
Rules to Live by
1. No weapons! I don’t care if you have a legal license to carry, there will be no guns, knives or what ever at these meets.
2. Please make sure you are properly bathed and clothed when coming to a meet. We want a good image for the fandom, and you showing up stinky and in ragged cloths isn’t helping. Plus, it makes you more fun to be around! This goes DOUBLE for suiters. No one wants to hug you if you smell like dead fish and it makes the group as a whole look bad.
3. No foul language or mistreatment of others! Especially if we are in a public place. Such drama will not be tolerated. If you act out at a meet you will be asked to leave and suspended from the next meet. You will be allowed to return after that. If your behavior fails to improve after your suspension or your behavior the first time around warranted us calling the cops, you will be banned from all future EFMs.
4. No “Yiffing”. Please, there are children around and last thing they or us need is to see you “play humping” on a chair. Keep that stuff private.
5. Don’t just “show up” at a meet. Unless other wise stated, all meets require an RSVP. If you don’t RSVP and just show up at the meet, odds are there won’t be a spot for you and you will be left by your lonesome.
6. Absolutely NO rough housing. Do not be jumping over/onto objects or other people. Please act like adults, and not park apes.
7. Respect other peoples property. This goes double when dealing with suiters. DO NOT JUST PICK UP ANOTHER PERSONS SUIT!! If you must touch someones hand paws or head, ASK FIRST. Do not just pick up another persons things with out asking permission first.
Common Courtesies *these are not rules, but it would be polite to follow these suggestions*
1. If getting a ride from someone to the meet, offer him or her some gas money. Sometimes a person may have to go out of their way to get you and gas is not cheap. If you can spare it, share it.
2. Try not to “drop out” of meets at the last minute. We understand things come up, and that is fine, but don’t make it a habit. It’s not fair to take up a spot and then always cancel right before the meet.
3. Don’t fish for charity. We have all complained at one time or another about not having the spare change for something, but always posting in journals about “Aww, I don’t have the money, I wish someone could loan/spare me the money” is annoying. Don’t prey on the kindness of others.
4. Please don’t show up at meets with out a proper way home. I can say from experience there is nothing more annoying then a friend always having a ride to an event, but then guilt trips you into a ride home. We understand sometimes this happens, but again, don’t prey on others kindness. If this starts to be a trend, no one is going to enjoy you coming to the meets and one time, you may just get stuck there.
5. Ask before touching a suiter. Some suiters are very particular about their suits. They may not like you touching them right after you munched on a pizza or petting their fur in the wrong direction. Be courteous, ask.
DISCLAIMER: These rules may be added upon or changed at any time with little or no warning. Please make sure you are always with in Eastern Fur Meets rules and Guidelines.
