I would recommend speaking with artists such as Gideon and others who have turned to paysites, and ask them about their experiences.

What I think is immaterial, since I don't get the whole diaper fetish. So I'll keep that to myself.

If you want to start a paysite devoted to human and furry diaper fetish, I first invite you to look at my paysite, The BondoFox Bondage Experience, at www.derekscorner.com and see how I mix human and furry .

Then, ask yourself these questions:

First and foremost: Is there a market for this? Are there people willing to pay for drawings of people and furries walking around in their own mess? I know diaper people are out there, but are they out there in enough numbers to make it viable?

The question of art quality isn't an issue, you're quite talented and you could do art professionally if you don't already and command money for it.


Next, is it worth your time and effort? From one who knows, running and maintaining a paysite is, to quote Jack Webb, an endless, thankless, glamorless job that's gotta be done. Producing the work, then scanning, then knowing where to post teasers for advertising purposes. There's building the website, debugging, finding a webhost who will not only host adult art but will also set you up with a shopping cart and hopefully not demand a cut of the action. And there's the hosting fee, how much is it? How much are you going to charge for memberships? Will they be recurring memberships and bill every month? Will you sell enough memberships to pay your webhosting bill and make a profit?

And don't expect to get rich at it. Adult websites were a big-money thing a long time ago, now the market's so glutted that we're all fighting for a piece of the action. Can you offer something that nobody can get anywhere else? Where will you advertise? Do you belong to any diaper and diaperfur groups, or diaper-friendly groups, that'll let you post a link and announce an update when you make one?

Trust me, this'll eat hours out of a day on just regular updates.

Well, I think it's more a matter of paysites being a stronger target for content theft than any other art site. I mean, sure, people can compile archives from FA artists, but why bother? On the other hand, paysites regularly get people who will download the entire site, then redistribute it far and wide.

I wanna see a site where you can choose which artists to subscribe to on a monthly basis, then pay it in one bill. So it'd be sorta like a pay-version of FA. Getting tired of a particular artist? Unsubscribe from then put that money towards another artist, or just stick with a lower bill.

How are you going to determine how much site access will be worth? What are you going to do to make sure that people get their money's worth? What are you going to do if a particular month is slower than another artwise?

Who are you going to get to make the site and the site security?


It's an interesting idea, to be sure, but I'd wonder how much something like site access to something like that would be worth. Would there be a guarantee that x amount of art would be supplied every day/week/month?

I say go for it, if you can make money doing what you love it's win/win. I probably won't be joining anytime soon because I'm one of those unemployed people you keep hearing bout. Now, when I have the money to, however... I guess it would depend on how much and how long membership costs and lasts.

Lotsa paysites tend to do mediocre'ly, 'cause lots of people will pirate. I've never heard a paysite operator talk about whether or not they make enough to justify the headache and site costs.

If yer gonna monetize, I'd stick to commissions an' stuff. anyone willin to drop money on a paysite will probably be willin to pay for custom art.

I vote no as well, for two reasons:
1. People hate paysites with an unbridaled passion, and
2. Hosting a paysite that's babyfur/diaperfur exclusive is really going to get a ton of backlash, trust me on this.

Stick to commissions and art CDs.

If you set up a paysite, I'll subscribe. Your art has a unique quality, and your flash work is top notch. I'll also plug it on my website for free (which means at least two people will know about it :P).

A lot of your fans are saying they don't like paysites... I have no problem with them. I think a lot of people would just rather have something for nothing. If this encourages you to draw more diaper work, and possibly make an income for it, I say go for it.

Maybe as a happy medium, you could make a few premium comics or flashes and sell them individually? Sort of like what Jay Naylor does? Just a thought.

I dislike the idea posed by several commentors that anyone who disagrees about setting up a paysite is immediately a troll. That said, though, I'm not really up on the idea of paysites, and I will say that I've never subscribed to one, and I prolly never will, and I HAVE pirated things from paysites before, as well. A lot of times I'm interested in the art going on, but not really enough to pay what are sometimes ridiculous amounts of money to access the very likely small amount of art I might want to see. So I guess, what I'm saying, is it prolly depends on what your pricing scheme is going to be.

I would say no, A) Paysites suck and I usually thought paysite artists were more about the money then anything, the fact you may be starting one, may meanI was wrong about others
B) considerng one of the subject matters may make legal trouble, it is allready borderline illegal to see this stuff in UK

UK has banned a lot of cartoon porn, of which this is borderline, all it takes is one judge deciding someone looks too young, and the person under suspicion can have lives ruined.

I think when it comes to paysites, the real kicker is the cost.

Obviously you want to be paid for your art, but at the same time, the members who subscribe tend to not want to pay out of the nose.

I'm not a huge fan of traditional paysites for art/photos in general since the probability for the pictures going to those who paid nothing is almost 100%. So I dunno. I would definitely check it out, though I could not guarantee I would join.

When I initially saw this post, I thought it seemed kinda cool, and at the very least, it'd be interesting to see a paysite other than the usual vanilla stuff. But, after some reflection, and reading other things that've been posted here, I'm not sure it'd be a good move.

For one thing, as BondoFox pointed out, the profit margins are pretty low. Even with mainstream porn paysites, the only way they stay in business is with sheer volume. In the case of the babyfur community, or even the furry fandom in general, the volume really isn't there. The fandom is relatively small, and also abnormally poor and tech-savvy, which creates an environment where the usual customer base for a paysite is further reduced by people who can't afford the expense, or who object to paysites and will just grab your material from the many pirate sites out there.

Plus, as the internet grows and matures, paysites are a dying business model anyway. You're essentially charging for what most internet users know how to find for free. I suspect you'd make a good bit more money from things like print/portfolio/book sales, and perhaps posters, as well as commissions (there's always room to charge more for those, no matter who you are), with less long-term effort.

I wouldn't mind seeing a paysite, but, as others have said, I think you'd get more profit from folios and prints... especially commissions. Heck, once I have a good stockpile of cash, I'd like to commission you for about 22 diaper badges...

If you're really thinking of going the paysite route, my suggestion would be to take a look at Mamabliss. Half a dozen sites with a single subscription, each with a specific fetish in mind. Unless you've completely stopped doing inflation stuff (In which case, bawww), then just go with your plan. Can't say I have any clue how much of a user base for that there is.

If there's a market for it, there will also be an inflation site. If not then I'll just post inflation stuff here X3
