RTotD - AD Jingles

"RTotD" = Random Thought of the Day.
We've all heard them, most of us know all the words, but do they actually impact our buying habits?
For me I'd have to say no; no they do not. I hear them on the radio, I see them on TV, they even stalk me while I surf the net. Do I ever buy their products? Nope; not once.
However...
I have caught myself on several occasions dancing happily to a catchy little tune in my head that I soon after realize to be the AD jingle for some company or another. -_-
If anything, I now want to buy your product even less.

What I hate is when they take a song I like and turn it into an ad jingle - like the minivan ad I saw featuring an iconic hit song from my generation. I never felt so targeted, yet so out of the loop. I can't listen to that song any more, it's ruined for me now.
