Commissions for a serious cause + A NEW ZAHZU

SO. As some of my DA watchers might be aware. I'm working on a project called JenFund, whichhhh is basically me taking commissions, donations, IRL-labor, and generally working out the wazoo to try and help my best friend. I've talked highly of her before- her and her husband have converted their home into an animal rescue, more or less, and take in tons of stray dogs and cats all the time. I mean, they'll even be driving and find a stray on the highway or whatever- just pick 'em up and take 'em home, look for an owner, and if none's to be found then they keep them until they can find a good home. Seriously, it's remarkable, the sort of stuff they've done, and they've helped dozens and dozens of animals. (:
Weeell. They've been scammed and ripped off by a lot of people, the past few years, due to uncool derps taking advantage of them and even flat-out stealing from them. Then you add the fact that they just had their first baby (which was an unexpected pregnancy), faced a lot of hospital visits and bills due to complications during the pregnancy, have other medical bills for both people and animals, aaaaaand then their car has been consistently breaking down and needing money dished into it throughout the year...
Put all that together and, even with her working 1 job (while raising the baby) and her husband working 2, they have no way to make their property tax payment while keeping everyone-and-everything fed.
They've already sold most all their belongings (DVDs, video games, gave up TV/internet/etc, and anything else they had of value), and they're at the point where... there's not much else they can do.
Property taxes are going to be $4,000, and will be due by January 31st- However, I'm shooting to raise as much as possible before the end of December, to make sure they have ample time to get it paid.
Saving up all leftover money after paying for necessities, they should be able to raise $1,000 on their own by the end of the year (unless more emergencies pop up)... A generous other has agreed to donate $1,000 to match that. All that's left is the remaining $2,000... Whiiiich is what I'm aiming to raise.
SO. NOW YOU'VE GOT THE SKINNY ON THE SITUATION.
I've currently raised $404.84, the majority of which was either donated by kind folks at DA or by my BF, who's been working his butt off for the cause.
Still... with less 2 months left, things are getting down to the wire and I'm running low on options (and optimism. x'D)
WHICH MEANS THAT
Once again, I'm clinging to every site I can in hopes of getting some commissions!
I'll be posting some of my more recent stuff here to FA as soon as I can (OHOHO I NEGLECT THIS GALLERY SO BADLY!) and, in the meantime...

I'm not suuuuure how long I'm going to keep commissions open, since they end up taking a lot of work for a relatively small amount of money earned (I.E. I could do a lot of other work in the 6 hours it takes to finish one $15 icon), but... CHECK IT OUT WHILE PRICES ARE LOW, if you could.
I'm really worried about all this- even ran into one of my first ever full-on depression spells, in my fear- and I know I'm gonna need all the help I can get!
Seriously... MAKE ME DRAW THINGS. I WILL DO IT.

No, Zahsu the character isn't being redesigned- I'm talking about meself.
In the PASTTTTT, I've offended peeps here on FA due to my 14-year-old-self's tendency to blurt out my controversial opinions at the time.
While I do feel baaaaaaad for those I upset, I'd also like to emphasize that... I WAS A KIDDO, MANG.
3 years have passed- almost 4- and I'm far from the brat I was back then.
I DON'T HATE THE GAYS! (GASP! I've even got gay characters, brah! ... Probably TOO many of them, but I suppose things even out, haha. BUT YES, that closed-minded phase is all gone and past!)
I DON'T HATE THE FURRIES! (... Not that I ever had a substantial problem with them, at any point. WHY WOULD I JOIN FA IF I HATE FURRIES? I just wanted to include more than just the first thing. xD)
I DON'T HATE THE JEWS (Okay, this one's nothing but a joke. I NEVER HATED THE JEWS K.)
My views on things now are a lot more open, I think, and I've learned a pretty substantial amount in the past few years of my life. It's actually been a pretty awesome series of things that made me who I am today. (:
.... NOT THAT I AM AN EXCELLENT PERSON BY ANY MEANS, but... Gosh, I've just developed this crazy appreciation for all the times and trials I've been through- good, bad, and otherwise. I've been disappointed in my laziness, lack of motivation, and my inactivity the past few years, sure, but... You live and learn, right? I've been through and learned more than a lot of people do until their 20s, so I'm grateful for all that.
ANYWAY. I DIGRESS.
Overall, I kind of just... want to apologize for anyone my kiddy-self upset, and am going to try and repair some of the connections I may've lost. (: Here's hoping for the best!

And yeah... :/ Well, she still knows you'd at least like to help, if you could! Even stuff like advertising, spreading the word, praying, and generally expressing concern... it all means a ton, and still helps. <3 So, thank you for the thought, man!
