-meme- Character Questions
(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ~『✧~*BOOP!*~✧』 I figured that since I owe Mathias a Tagged journal, that I'd use it to properly introduce my latest character. Apologies again though for how sloppily written this all is. I really need to learn to write journals when I'm not so frakin' tired.
CHARACTER HISTORY MEME

1.) What's the name of your character?
Nexrum. The name actually originates from the anime M.D. Geist, where the Regular Army of the planet Jerra is locked in a never-ending civil war with the rebellious Nexrum Army, who believe that Earth should not be involved in governing its extraterrestrial colonies. It's also my XBL GamerTag.
2.) Tell us about your character.
I honestly can't say a lot about the character since the species was technically created by [TXiN]. What I can tell you though is that he is part of a race of techno-organic beings that serve as a proxy to the Zone Cops from the Sonic the Hedgehog comics and that he used to work as one of the group's enforcers. I say "used too" because... well... there was a point in the history of the guardians in which their sanctum was sieged by a creature known to their kind as the self-proclaimed Lord of Randomness. This being is made up of a substance known as Oz that according to wikipedia is "...a particle that carries magical energy, found in places where boundaries between alternate possible realities are thin. Mages are able to control the flow of these particles through spells, effectively reshaping the universe as they see fit." Interestingly enough it is this substance which also grants Nexrum's species their power, however they are not born of it like Cheshire.
Now before I continue with Nexrum, I must explain something about Cheshire... Cheshire carries his title for a reason. Were he a D&D character he would be the Chaotic Neutral alignment made manifest. In fact... For all of you Star Trek nerds out there? Yeah, think of Q.
To make a long story short; Cheshire had appeared inside of the dimensional leyline simply for the purpose of creating panic amongst its guardians. Well his plan worked a little too well... The guardians mobilized en masse, and a titanic battle between the entire faction and Cheshire ensued. Many guardians were incapacitated (note: not killed) over the course of centuries of fighting, including Nexrum. Nexrum, however, suffered a fate different than most others who rallied to the call of Great Protector. Instead of simply waking up inside their haven following Cheshire's departure from their space, Nexrum awoke upon a metal slab with no memory of who, what, where or even what his purpose in life was with a young female fennec answering to the name of Lydia smiling gently down at him.
To summarize: Lydia is part of a group of children who were orphaned after a synthetic uprising wiped out most of the organics on her world. The setting is a lot like that of the one glimpsed in the Binary Domain teaser trailer, which I suggest you all watch. After Nexrum fell from the sky and into the undercity, Lydia, upon realizing that he was unlike the other synthetics which hunted them, took him back to their refuge and had a friend of theirs who specialized in robotics reactivate him. Initial diagnostics revealed that Nexrum was his name, but aside from learning of this and the unfortunate news that the AMP which allowed him to generate a persona capable of blending in with any native inhabitant of any reality that he was tasked with observing was damaged, it also quickly became clear that his core memory had been severely damaged, and that no technology, synthetic-made or otherwise, was capable of repairing it.
Chronologically it has been four years now since Nexrum arrived on Lydia's world, and he has made a name for himself as the guardian of the oppressed and hunted organics.
3.) How did you make your character up?
After helping my former mate create Txinairy I felt that the next logical step would be to create a mate for that character as well. At the time the design of Nexrum fell to an admittedly unoriginal wolf-like male proxy named Angeal, however after several weeks passed without any real character development the subject was passively dropped. It wasn't until I saw my friend Bonnii's latest batch of adoptable characters that the inspiration to revive and remake the character from scratch surfaced.
4.) Is it easy drawing your character?
I can't draw worth a damn so... No?
5.) When did you make your character up?
Technically he's about a year old in concept right now, but I didn't really start ironing out the character until yesterday.
6.) What inspiration(s) brought your character to life?
Would you believe an undying affection for a certain individual who ♥s stupid porn?
7.) Is your character dear to you? If so, how come?
I wouldn't say "dear" to me, seeing as how he's only a few days old. But he's definitely got potential for becoming a personal favorite of mine.
8.) If you were forced to compare your character to another, who would you compare him/her/it to?
Hmm... It'd be a tie between the legendary Iron Giant and Lucy / Nyu from the anime Elfen Lied.
9.) Is your character related to you in any way? Personality? Problems? Traits?
NAWP!
10.) If your character came to life, what would you do?

11.) Is your character a hero or a villain? How do you see them as?
Prior to making a life for himself on Lydia's planet, Nexrum would've fallen into the Lawful Neutral alignment. However since then he'd be a mixture between Lawful and Chaotic Good, depending on the situation at hand. He tries to maintain a diplomatic stance on all matters, but if things get out of hand he is not afraid to use his power to level entire blocks of the undercity to protect his friends.
12.) Is your character a part of any particular story you made up?
Indeed! You'll have to ask Txinairy's player about it though, since she's the creator of the over-arcing meta-plot.
13.) What song/movie/book/play do you think of when you imagine your character?
Honestly there are too many variables here in this question to take into account. Pass.
14.) Would your character do well if him/her/it had his/her/its own book or film?
I'd certainly hope so!
15.) Make up your own question.
"Hey! Can I tug your tail?"
"..."
"8D"
"You do know that it and the ears aren't real, right?"
"So?"
"... Fine. But just this once. And don't tell anybody about it."
