Background: Zeph (short for Zephyr) was originally created by scientists in the 2050's, when a major nuclear war was happening. America needed some more power at the time because of most recruits, and wanted some sort of force that was unstoppable. Combining a human with wolf parts, along with replacing real blood with an artificial black, tar-like blood which removed the need for almost all organs (except for a brain, skin, etc.) and bodily functions (no need to eat, no excretions, etc.), made Zeph a formidable force. But, the artificial blood caused a side effect, which allowed Zeph to melt his body (bones and all) in a controlled way, which meant that he could melt his arm without melting his leg, etc. He also gained a feral side, where his animal side came to life, making him much more vicious in that form. However, he couldn't melt his body to transform into anything useful (like a shield). He was left unconscious in another city and had been all alone, until meeting Harmon http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/164326/ . Ever since, they have become friends, greeting one another with Zeph giving Harmon a melty, squishy hug. *insert emotional awwwww here*.
