Wow, Fred Flinstone smoked Winston Cigarettes?

Remember Fred Flintstone? Well, apparently he made a cameo in an advertisement for Winston Cigarettes. Fred and Barney go out of the way to go into detail about the cigarettes too. Notice how the cigarettes and the box were drawn differently from the rest of the commercial.
In the end you can see Wilma smoking a cigarette, plus you can see "Winston" in the sign.
What I find interesting is that when I saw them smoking cigarettes it changed my perspective on the three. And the fact that this was in a cartoon made this much more interesting (and why such commercials were banned in the US.)

Like, if you got a well-known newscaster to read something outside of the news, it'd be expected that people would swallow it no matter what; see: "Perversion for Profit".

Also in the movies from the 1930's to the 1960's you will notice there is a lot of smoking, infact they go out of there way to offer each other cigarettes.
