As you may have noticed (but you probably didn't, since nobody cares about the stuff I post) I incorporated embroidery into my latest custom hat design.

Which got me to thinking... do you think I could embroider all of the facial details onto a hat instead of cutting applique pieces and sewing them down? It would probably look pretty spectacular if I could pull it off. I would like to attempt this, but I lack the motivation/creativity/whatever to design something myself. So lazy.

If you have a really cool and/or complicated design you want to put on a hat, comment here (no email or notes, please!) with a link to the hat design.

Some pro-tips:
- Try to focus on the front/back/rim of the hat, and maybe even the front/back of the ears. I don't want to have to worry about pulling off 6-point antlers, three tails, and a dreadhawk on top of embroidery.
- Eyes, nose, whiskers, whatever, is all fair game. Even lettering
- My hoop is 6x8 inches. I'll probably break down the designs into the left and right halves of the hat anyway.
- Try not to go too overboard with colors. I have to change colors manually. >:(

- I will pick a winner based on whatever seems the coolest.
- There are no guarantees the hat will look good (I could fail miserably), but I'll let you know how it turns out I guess.
- If it turns out great, I'll ship it for freeeeeee too
- Then I'll open up for some kickass commissions.
