Bounced Emails

We're currently processing HUNDREDS of bounced e-mails that went out to the over 9,000 accounts on FurBuy in today's mass-mailed 2010 year end update. Part of that (once I spend hours here building the list of bounces, ugh) will be putting all of the bounced addresses through a processor which will determine which accounts to move to "Unverified" state. YOUR ACCOUNT MAY INADVERTENTLY GET DISABLED! Don't panic. =) Just send an e-mail to admin-team[at]furcen.org -OR- you can simply login to your account and update your e-mail address (if necessary) and then click the Verify link next to it in your My Account - Prefs page. You'll get a verification e-mail with a URL/code in it to use in order to confirm your account, which will automatically re-enable it. It's that simple. =)

Ah, good to know some AOL mails actually got through. =D So many of the bounces were from AOL that I was starting to get worried that maybe they blocked all of them or something.

just fyi aol has had issues with e mails for some time now and are still working on it just try again its just a minor issue with the server

Unfortunately if their servers tell our servers that someone's mailbox doesn't exist or hard-bounces messages for any other reason, we don't re-try sending. =/ Soft-bounces may get retried for up to 72 hours by our servers automagically, but otherwise we don't really re-send mail just due to the sheer volume of mail going in and out of our systems.

agreed there ok a recheck on there account is a good idea some have to up date there info

Hm, didn't receive anything on either of my listed emails. I use both Yahoo and GMail.

Strange, the mails were sent out about 3-4 hours ago now, so you should have gotten one... You might wanna login to your My Account - Prefs page and double-check that your e-mails are up to date and verified! =)

Already did, double-checked to make sure, both Verified, although the one that I thought was GMail was my second, abandoned Yahoo, checked it, nothing in there either.
