I've decided to draw some of the less-seen fursona species, so here is where I'll keep my list of animals... and it looks like it'll keep me busy for a good while! ^_^
If you can think of an animal not on this list... that is uncommon or rare to see as a fursona, reply and I'll add it to the list! Let no species be forgotten!
RULES FOR SUBMISSION:
1.) Do not suggest marine life, snakes, or insect species for now. When I'm done with the ones that I have, I'll work on those species.
2.) I am drawing only PUREBRED species. No mixes or fantasy creatures are going to be added to the list. Extinct species are a-okay.
3.) This is not a commission thing, nor is it a "I will draw your character" thing. I make up the characters as I go. I only want ideas for species, please and thank you!

I will not forget the dodo. =)
They may be wrong, but that's what's understood to be true at the moment.
Maybe we ate them into extinction after all... they must've been DELICIOUS~!

Fennec isn't really uncommon. I see Fennec's everywhere, because people are drawn to the large fluffy ears. =) I usually go by using the search function. If I find less than 1000 matches to a species name, I add it to the rare list. If I get less than 5000 I place it under uncommon. Fennec has 10k returns, so I never added it to the list.
But, I rarely see fennecs myself, but okay.
Maybe they just aren't social?
I'm a Fennec, (Well, mostly.) rarely do I see any others, and I know a lot of people who have never heard of one until I told them.
Would a thylacine (tazmanian tiger) work for your list? :3 The extinct group, that is.
also... anthro sheep are awesome. wish there were more of them.
As for what could be added to the list, hmmm...any chance to add in doves and/or maybe parrots? Or even ducks as well? I dunno if it's just me, but I don't normally see very many bird-sonas out and about.

Blue-jays are utterly adorable, but I don't really know of too many. Of course, there are a LOT of bird species you could list on here.
