TL;DR at the bottom.

Please read all of this, i have a few things to say, but i want to make a point first.

Ok, so when i was younger i was sexually abused, i got help for it and the people were reported to the police. I was 12 and 13 at the time. Now, being 24, if i were raped again, i would call the police. Why? because its the thing your suppose to do. But every few weeks or months i see people crying "RAPE!". Well, having been abused that way, i realize the importance of reporting it, but people don't. Now, there are many reasons, but in the end its wrong that they don't. They are not only endangering them selves with more possible assault, but others.

That being said:

I have been at a party and had sex with some one i didn't like the next day.
I have let the wrong head think for me and than regretted it.
I have placed my self in a situation where i regretted having sex with some one.

None of those are rape, and the furry fandom seems to think they are. That being said, accusations of rape are not cool (of course) and not something you should do willy nilly. I know some furs that claim to have been raped by 5+ people at different times. Now, either you are with the wrong people and not learning form your mistakes, or your an idiot. When I was in therapy i learned something EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: You are always going to be a victim if you let your self be the victim.

That being said, I dont believe most furs who claim rape and DO NOT CALL THE AUTHORITIES! What is the worst thats going to happen? you think the fandom will push you away for keeping your self and others safe? If the do, you DONT NEED THEM IN YOUR LIFE.

Ask your self these questions (usually asked by most police departments) Did they give you drugs? Did they force them selves on you violently? Did you feel your life was in danger? Did you feel like they would hurt you if you said no? If you said any of those, it is, rape, call the cops, report them as soon as possible.

Now, ask your self this: Did I have a lapse in judgment and now regret what i did?

Also, and this is paramount, people need to funking take responsibility for their actions! Rape is bad, no question, but saying some one raped you when you just regret what you did is worse. You make the people who were actually sexually abused feel as if your minimalizeing what happened to them, by taking advantage of the emotional response people give to rape victims. And taking advantage of that is only hurting those who were really hurt.
