[ Wonderland Deck Contest - The Alice Card]
Bills, bills, bills. So, stuff for sale: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4010220/
Edit:
It was hard to choose which one of these great entries would ultimately become the Alice Card, but
and
did a collaborative card that I feel fits the deck best. There will be some changes made to it but I think overall the card was most "Alice-y."
Since there weren't that many other entries, I will be giving you all prizes. Everyone will get a free deck and a free commission from me (a commission valued up to $25). I also want to give an Honorable Mention to
IchigoTora - she did her entry using a laptop touchpad which, in true Wonderland style, was madness. I liked the concept behind her card a lot and am pretty much floored that she could produce something of quality out of a FREAKIN TOUCHPAD.
Thank you everyone who entered, please send me a note with your mailing address for the deck (if you have already purchased a deck an want to gift it to someone else let me know). Your may redeem your commission whenever you like. If you have an idea and are not sure whether it fits within the $25 limit, just contact me and we can discuss it. Here's my Iron Artist price list: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1862424/
Old info:
Since this is such an important card, I want it to be the BEST! So I'm turnin' it into a contest. The prizes aint so amazing but hey I'm poor.
WHAT DO I DO?
Draw the Alice card for this project!: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1993096/
- Alice can only be a small to medium animal, herbivore or omnivore. PSST personally I think she'd make a great squirrel (or other rodent) ;) Or raccoon. Or... well something woodlandsy lol
- She must have her own background. Is she falling down the rabbit hole? Having size issues? Playing croquet? It should be painterly in style (see the other cards for an idea). Dimensions are 460x600, though of course you can go larger as long as it shrinks down well (300dpi)
- Sorry but the artwork must be digital and soft-shaded, not cell.
- You must be watching me (at least until the contest is over) and post a journal advertising the Project and Contest.
- Post a link to the finished product as a reply to this journal.
-Edit: you can enter more than once but will only be counted as one entry to the "random contestant " prize drawing.
WHAT DO I WIN?
1st prize of course gets their Alice card in the Wonderland Deck; if your card is chosen that means you can sell decks as well. But wait, there's more!
1.) A free Wonderland Deck, once it's published that is.
2.) Commission from me for an available card slot + badge from that art OR a non-deck card badge ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2085094/) ... If you don't want either of those I can offer a different kind of commission to be discussed with the winner.
3.) Choice of one of three DVD's - a.) Alice the Syfy miniseries b.) the original Disney animated Alice in Wonderland or c.) the live-action Disney Alice in Wonderland
Runner up will get to choose 1 of the above prizes and one of my Iron Artist commissions (http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1862424/)
If there are enough entries, All other contestants will be entered into a drawing for choice of 1 or 2.
KINDA IMPORTANT STUFF
The contest will close when the rest of the deck is in.
If your entry wins you are giving myself and all other artists involved in this project permission to sell your art as part of the deck.
Entries will be judged by myself and I'll probably consult a few of the other project artists who don't enter. I MAY open up voting but ultimately the decision will be mine.
That's it! Go forth and create!
