How do you plan on making sure they live up to their side of this MASSIVELY appealing deal ?

Honestly, If i were to get a fursuit of any kind. specially a free one, I would totally boast about the creator ;) I think since it's free, they should at least wear a sign around the next with your name one (at least to one furcon for at least an hour).

But I'm not really into the whole fursuit thing, I've never been to a con (yet, money issues like to pop up for me) and I'm not very social so i dunno someone who would "deserve" it

I would love to enter this. :) I feel I deserve this fursuit because I've been in the furry community since I was around.. 8 years old? Some family members had seen my interest in anthropomorphic animals when I was only around 5 or 6 because I used to draw them like crazy and bought plushies like a mad child (over 100 guaranteed. lol ) and turns out I had an aunt and uncle that were in the community at that time. I ended up practically living with them for some time due to my parents weren't home alot when I was a child. They bought me a tigger suit for Halloween and boy oh boy did I go crazy. I loved that thing, wore it everyday. Eventually I got a bit more mature and started noticing local cons and some in states around me. Went to a few local meets when I was younger and now I book myself for practically every single one I can pay to travel to. I'll be helping at FWA this March so thats quite soon.

I plan to visit every con this 2011 year and the years to come. I'm saving up cash as it comes in. I would just buy a fursuit but I cannot afford the prices. Bills are enough as is. I save my money as it comes in and what I can afford is what I do. I have a passion for art, anthropomorphic animals, and just meeting wonderful people with the same interests. Its always a joy to find someone who has loved the furry community as a child aswell. Thats always touching to the heart. :) I definitely feel I have made a great group of friends and most of them I feel are my brothers and sisters. They mean the world to me and I don't think I could find better people anywhere else.

If I do not deserve this great offer, I do have a few friends that are more than deserving of this.

Well the deal seems very amazing and I'd be one to put my hat into the mix. To be honest I've always wanted to get a fursuit that helps represent Jag's fun personality, so I can most certainly be entertaining when in costume, heh. I suppose I've been a furry for a good long while, since about 97' ish.

To help you with this I'd make it a habit to go to more conventions. I usually hit up AC every year, so that's a good start. Then I hit a few other conventions up along the way as the year goes by. I'd more than willing to be able to go to other conventions to show off the work you do on the suit your willing to make and give away.

I also go to various anime conventions during the year and would enjoy wearing the suit and doing some advertising when I'm there as well, heh.

So if you're considering just piling people into a hat and choosing one just go ahead and drop my name in there. I'm sure I could help or pay for shipping costs when the time came.

Why would someone think yer just doing it for money? I mean fur suits cost money to make, I just started doing it and the foam was like 30 bucks, the fur 80, swatches 40, and misc. I'm sure will be around 50-100. That's already 200 something right there. What do they expect?

I'm American, but never been to a Furry con before. :( The reason I should have it; is because, I want to bring happiness for my little naphew and my little nieces. It'd be fun to try something new and I really want to be like a good furry and make kids happy. Like at Disney world etc. I'm a very nice person and I'm disabled with Autism. I'll gladly help in anyway I can and hopefully, I can help anyone out. I'm 20, turning 21 on December 21st, shocker huh? 21 and 21? ^~^ I'll glady give money to ship the fursuit. Well; can you imagine a disabled person, that only gets $670 a month managing a a plane ticket, a hotel room and a enterence fee to go to one? Plus, My folks won't let me go alone and I can't go over $2,000 in my savings account... Over protective you know? :(

I would so want to join but I know for a fact that Im still short on cons (3 cons a year) on top of that 1 or 2 are sometimes anime cons. Well I will say good luck to everyone else who enterz. (Hell actually this year I only got 2 conz planned this time dam I want to go to more...)

One quick observation. If someone can make 4-5 furry cons a year, including at least AC or FC, they should easily be able to afford a decent suit on their own. If you have a negative image you are trying to combat or rehabilitate, I am sure there are some very poor but deserving furs out there who would happily help advertise your creations in exchange for owning one. As it is, this comes off less as a philanthropic decision and more like a business one. Not exactly the kind of image make-over you may be aiming for. That being said, I do salute you for at least stepping up with an offer like this - it's more than many of the more desired fursuit makers out there would do.

I'm one of them :D which is why I make them.

being business minded is nothing wrong, its being smart and resourceful :) giving a costume that would take a month to create and of course the costs involved in making it [regardless of the fur being 'in- stock' it still costed money in the first place] for absolutely nothing in return wouldn't be a wise move, when I could fill that slot with someone wanting a commission :)

I can definitely understand your point, but have a hard time believing someone can go to that many cons, yet fail to afford a suit. I can honestly say that in my 12 years of the fandom I have never met anyone who fits that category. By now they usually just skip one or two cons a year and buy one themselves (or in your case, make themselves one). But I wish you the best of luck in finding someone worthy, and hopefully some deserving fur will get a very nice Christmas present.

I dont know if he still wears fursuits, but I think Phoenix Deerphin lives up to your requirements, he goes to alot of cons, and is always helping people, both those he knows and those he doesnt, I even know quite a few people who can honestly say they wouldnt have been able to attend some of the big cons if phoenix wasnt going, hes always sharing his room, and his stuff he brings with.

I'd actually suggest Ceilfox or Fenris, they're amazing older UKfurs (so shipping wouldn't cripple you) who do anything they can to help out younger furs, they also go to all the ukcons, EF and Ceil goes to AC, Rainfurest, FWA etc.

Well I am not sure I qualify. I do go to 3 fur cons a year being Rainfurrest, Further Confusion, and Rocky Mountian Fur Con but I also go to Anime cons of AX, Sakura Con, and Anime Evolution (not in the US but in Canada). I am more then willing to advertise and wear at all those cons including the anime cons. I would really like the oppertunity to have a fursuit yet again given it has been a few years sense my last one was destroyed in a frat prank. I love the ability to make people happy and feel good about themselfs and it makes me feel good as well. If you pick me I would be so greatful to have the opertunity again

i'd be willing to, as i go to at least a few cons a year (i live in tampa, between here and orlando, we have ALOT of conventions, plus having family on staff for at least 2 of them helps too). im an energetic performance artist (worked as a costumed actor for children for over 2 years) and im more than willing to give out advertisements. my characters are pretty simple to make yet unique enough to qualify as characters. I'd love to have this opportunity.

Well I believe my mate  darkstalker2010 should get it.

He's a saint, in my opinion he helps out all the fellow furs that he can however he can. I'm the biggest example, I got kicked out of my house and he didn't know me at all in real life and he took me in like he knew me and I've been taken care of by him ever since. He also helped a fur in need by driving all night and day sacrificing his time going to pick him up and taking him back to our home state to help him start a new life. And we're also moving into a 3 bedroom house that way we can help out 4 other furs with getting a place. I think that if anyone deserves it it should be him. He sacrifices anything in his power within reason to sty and help another out human or not, be it through action or the gift of money. Hes spent all of his time for a good bit of his life trying to do right by others. He was even trying to get a partial for me with the little money he has for FWA. He bid on a tail and was going to get the head that he had refitted and moded so that I could wear it at a con and he's even going to make my hand paws. Plus on a smaller scale, anytime we go to eat out with a large group of people he's always covering someones bill, on top of mine and his. I believe with all my heart that if someone deserves it it should be him. He's been in the fandom for over 10 years and hasnt even owned a suit of his own since he's usually trying to help someone else out with what he has left after his bills.

If he does get chosen, I will even help in distributing your business cards and advertise for you as well if he wins.

I forgot to nominate someone. If it's not too late i nominate  sciggles. Her past year went downhill fast. Her fiance broke up with her months before the marriage, her car broke down adding bills, she had to give up one of her dogs, and she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and even more bills.

I'll throw myself into the fray. I can't afford to go to many cons, (only one I can go to is Furfright) but I'd be happy to wear it around the area and suit around.
