[Current Events] Japan Earthquake and Tsunamis
14 years ago
Love is the spirit of this church, and service is its law.
This is our great covenant: To dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in love, and to help one another. Today, we are saddened by the news of earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan and the Pacific Ocean this morning. In situations like this, it is easy to become overwhelmed with sadness and feelings of helplessness.
It is essential that we come together as a community in support of our family across the ocean and around the world. With that in mind, you can use the donation link in our previous journal to donate using the Furs For Life fund. Just click here, select the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund, and donate!
If you prefer to give directly to the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund without going through the Furry For Life fund, you may use this link.
If you are in Japan or are looking for a loved one in Japan, you can use Google's People Finder that has been relaunched for this disaster. You can either provide information about yourself or look for someone you know to verify their safety.
Finally, you can spend some time in quiet contemplation in whatever manner you see fit in support of those who have lost their lives, the lives of loved ones, or irreplaceable belongings.
