Some suggested that too but most found a sparrow didn't match the sexyness of the character.

yeah, he might have the name of "sparrow" but i honestly couldn't see an anthro sparrow working for the character himself.

I always saw him as a lion though I think I am only biased by the fact that I have a friend whose character is a Lion and he happens to do one of the best Jack Sparrow impersonations I've ever seen! He would be a loner lion..maybe a little overbaked in the African sun..complete with scraggly tangled mane and odd mannerisms.

Outside of that..I can't really think of what animal I would most identify him with. Coyote maybe..always just barely surviving by the skin of his teeth!

I think people suggested fox and weasel because they are usually associated with sweet-talking and sneaky characters. The alley cat for the survival and always landing on their feet.

Not sure why but I have this feeling Jack Sparrow may be a lemur. ;D

I must say that ever since you suggested this I'm leaning towards it... The funny way lemurs move really made me think of jack's weird gestures. Plus the dark around the eyes and muzzle. I might draw it even if it doesn't win the voting! XD

Hmmm....good question. He'd definately have to be something sneaky and cunning, and something that is comfy at sea. You know, a rat comes to mind, though I know not a lot of people find rats attractive. Yeah, I think that would work for me. lol

Probably an otter. the whole "Sexy" and "sea" thing. Plus he uses tools (Well, weapons) and cleverness to fight and survive and maybe he likes seafood? As for packs, I don't think Anthro characters follow the "Pack" rule and stuff.

Cpt. Jack Sparrow isn't the most overwhelming pirate out there, with his clothing and cosmetics habits and odd manners... so, maybe lion would work (overbaked, ha!), but I'm leaning more towards genet. long, slinky/lanky... yet nocturnal. also, spots would distract from the clothes and kajal. XD

so... caracal. yes, I think caracal sould work. the long, featered ears, the lanky build, short muzzle helping with expressions... and nothign else to get in the way of brown curls in a dire need of soap. :)
