"Age of Discovery" characters

"Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them."
-William Shakespeare
Yeah, not exactly the most creative title, I know. It's a placeholder, and you'll admitt that it has a better sound than "Pathfinder Furrys". Yes, this is based on the Pathfinder roleplaying game by Paizo, coming to life from the "Fursona" suppliment I mentioned in a previous journal, but the story will by no means be restricted to the mechanics of the game; it's just where I happen to be drawing a portion of my inspiration. Anyway, I thought I'd share with you the projected characters for this upcoming series project that I'm working on. It's one of the few things I have what I'd call "inspiration" to do, though there are other things I want to do but can't quite seem to find the same drive for whatever reason. Names have not been chosen and genders are subject to change, and really nothing is set in stone, though I don't plan to deviate too far from what I have. And without further adieu:
Name:
Species: Timber Wolf
Class: Fighter/Druid
Theme: Former knight, now a champion of nature. Seeks to maintain a healthy balance of civilization and nature. Party’s moral compass.
Combat Style: Frontline combatant. Uses heavy armor crafted from wood using Shape Wood and Ironwood. Uses a falchion as his weapon when not in Wild Shape. Spells consist mostly of stat enhancements and healing.
Alignment: Neutral Good
Name:
Species: Squirrel
Class: Summoner
Theme: Cruel and sadistic little bastard, self centered and egotistical, yet conscious of his shortcomings and limitations (though he’d never admit to them out loud).
Combat Style: Rides upon his summoned Eidolon. The mount he directs directly into the enemy, and the Eidolon can (and is encouraged to) devour anything it can get in its mouth, dead or alive.
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Name:
Species: Bearded Dragon (Lizard)
Class: Gunslinger
Theme: Sharpshooter/mechanic. More sociable with good craftsmanship than people. Focuses on the task at hand to the near exclusion of anything else, regardless of stimulus.
Combat Style: Fights from as far away as he can manage with a rifle. Focuses on a single target, having only periphery awareness of what else there is around him. Usually focuses on the weakest targets and moves up in power as opponents fall.
Alignment: True Neutral
Name:
Species: Lynx
Class: Rogue
Theme: Professional thief turned tomb raider. Enjoys being paid to essentially do what she used to do illegally. Loves the challenge more than the money, though both are strong motivators.
Combat Style: To say the least, mobile. She hardly stops moving, making her difficult to hit while she sets her sights on her opponents’ vulnerable areas. She both stabs and throws, making her quite dangerous no matter where she is on the battlefield.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Name:
Species: Automaton Ankylosaurus
Class: Fighter
Theme: Guardian construct, made in a time long forgotten. Unimaginative, but incredibly loyal and surprisingly quite talkative.
Combat Style: Uses both a mace and a spiked shield as weapons, alternating blows between the two. Tough as nails and refuses to surrender. A defensive fighter, he interposes himself between enemies and allies, having enemies come to him on his terms.
Alignment: Lawful Good
This project is still in the brainstorming process, and these are just shorthand summaries of the characters, so feel free to give your thoughts and opinions on what you see. It took me long enough to decide on the current species represented (as I was trying hard to avoid cliches with animal/role combinations), and it'll likely take me longer before I settle on names for any of these characters. Any questions you have regarding this cast is welcome, as I'm still fleshing them out. I'll see about getting a world primer up as either a journal or a submission sometime tomorrow, so you have an idea about the world these character inhabit and why the series is currently codenamed "Age of Discovery".
