Okay, yesterday was a real comedy of errors. Went to brekkie with Bennie and SueDeer, and Bennie had to split early, because he'd forgotten he had a meeting.
Sue and I finished eating, and discovered that Sue was shortish on cash to cover Bennie...okay...no prob. So since Bennie drove us to the cafe, we had to call him back...except we forgot our cel-phones at home...both of us.
Okay, fine...we'd just walk over to the mall, wander a bit, then use a public phone and call him to get us: cool. Then it started raining. Fine, fine, we're not soluble, a little wet won't hurt.
Then it started pouring. Hard. By the time we were about halfway to the mall, it was coming down in buckets. Literally an inch of water running freely across the parking lot, and still coming down like the Flood.
Got to the mall entrance, and I wrung out my shirt, went inside and looked for cheap t-shirts to buy, got 'em and came back. Actually bought new jeans and a top for the doe, so she didn't catch her death. Me, I just squished around in wet jeans.
Cruised the mall for a couple hours, and then went to phone home ....line's busy. And busy. And busy.
Sue got the great idea of calling Bennie's cel...remembered she didn't remember his number, tried to call *her* cel, but we didn't have enough change (why is it $0.50 to make a landline call, and $0.75 to call a cel?).
Went and bought a drink and got change. Called *my* cel....no answer, so I hung up...and the payphone ate my change.
Finally gave up, and decided to take the bus, so we walked to another entrance, and waited for the bus..and waited ... and waited. Yay for saturday schedule! Finally, the bus shows up! Swings around to the bus stop...and the sign changes to "Not in Service", and he cruises right past, drives to the far end of the parking lot, and parks it!
Eventually, the right bus showed up, and we got home just fine, but I think for today I'm going to STAY HOME!!

I'm sorry that it happened for you.
Saturday is just one of those crazy days.
Look on the bright side. You have a new memory to look back on and chuckle about.
For the Cell question.. I have never heard of that, haven't used a payphone recently, but I would have assumed that the cell phone user assumes most of the costs involved with routing through the antenna.. right? Total shot in the dark of course, but I'd think that was part of the monthly fees..
As for the bus, yeah the schedule is always screwed up.. My only advice is that it's /Usually/ not the driver's fault. I know quite a few people who work in public transportation, and it's not a fun job even if it pays well. The driver's get 90% of the flak and at best 1 in 8 of them are the ones who have any hand in the issues.(When you all run on the same route, one guy dragging his ass or rushing through can set the entire day off-kilter.) As for the first one being off duty.. yeah that always sucks, I have the best luck with that myself -.-; But that guy had put in his hours for the day, or was on break so.. eh.
Anyway, not trying to explain away yer issues, or even change how ya feel, just babbling and sharing my own experience. Once again, hope ye well now. ^-^'
everyone hates those ;v;
But at least you got to cool down. Its still fucken hot where I live and I am dying here
ive had days like that where badluck came down with the same buckets of rain..
I wish those only on my utterly worse enemies..
*Snugs and squeezes you both, not minding the wet furr in the least.. i'm warm and dry..*
