ludicrousy review on my suit
Late June
Approached online professionally by Brooklyn with the intent to offer suit production services.
July 3rd
Met in person at anime expo got a quick quote and a small talk about her work and was able to look at personal suit.
July 6th
Quote came in for $900 and was accepted and agreed to be done via PayPal and due date was set to be September 6th
July 14th
First problem arose, agreed method of PayPal was scrapped and check were said to not be accepted so only alternative was money order.
September 1st
Due date bummed up to the second week of September
September 6th
So far zero photos updates of suit in any for
September 25
Flipper fursuit head update on YouTube (note my suit is snipe) second commissioner has gotten a bigger update than mine on his suit progress. And mass commissions are offered for free while little progress seems to be made. Update by this time is up in the air for October competition. Also reveals to me that she has mental health / anxiety issues and is not cut out for doing this. Specifically states that she owns and runs this an operating business. Also states that she is of the age of 16.
October 2nd
Receives YouTube update on jaw test. In the video commentary states that she had to redo part of the head and neck fur.
October 11th
A picture message was sent by phone with image of nearly completed suit.
Late October
Many shipping dates have been missed due to the fact of grounding business being affected by parents even though business must go on
October 30th day time
Pick up date and location is discussed and agreed to be at 12 pm and then extend to 4 pm to work on the feet to make them better. Feelings are already expressed that hand paws will not fit. In other words when product was going to be picked up it would be defective. When the costume was tried on it did not fit.
October 30th night time
In partial suit feet came off done during a party and was temporarily held together by duct tape. A deal was made for all repairs and a pair of red hand paws and a new pair of original colors. Learned that 2 separate gules were used on each foot
October 31st
Most parts of suit were returned head and tail and hand paws remained.
November 6th
Parts are said to be shipped back repaired by mid week
November 17th to January 14th
Parts not shipped and flaws were discovered in head along with a pin left in the foam of the head. New head was offered to be made free of charge. After expecting the offer it was revoked with a letter saying the claims made by my friend who designs and makes costumes were false or stretched. After wards the warranty was threatened to be canceled where there was no knowledge or explanation in the contract that if outside parties made repairs the contracts would be void. Suit head is sent back for repairs. Learned that jaw system was experimented on. Repair dates are bounced back and forth. On asking for a repair deadline warranty is threatened to be removed. Original statement for repairs was by the first of June. Suit is declared repaired on the week of January 14th
January 14th to January 27th
Shipping dates are once again bounced around and meeting place, date and time are agreed upon. I ask for a business license to be faxed and I was informed that one was not owned.
January 8th
Notified that hand paws were not ready all other parts though are ready\
Paws camec later and were poor condition and didn’t match the order
This is a light review mind you in the end
The feet are unsatafactory and have fallen apart due to the size and weight.
The belt hole for the tail is too low on the body suit making it look odd and more of a adualt suit when the tail is not on.
The tail is shoddy and is not worn often because the belt loop for the tail is too weak to suport its weight and is capped with a noticeable chunk of foam.
The hand paws, all three sets just are defective in there design one is too small, one has wrong colors, and just are soddy and poorly made.
