Just listened to it. I really like the character voices/personalities and the way you create a scene that is extremely abstract, yet easily imaginable. Definitely looking forward to the complete novel.

I understand why this is taking a while much better now! I love the vibe this gets across, with properly alien aliens especially. Debates about how the gas creature with internal thunderstorm speaks will probably roll around in my head for a while. Thunderclaps for the sound generation? Can it change densities to change inflections? Probably, since it would have to have some way of not filling up the whole room--that was a /different/ alien!

Have you, by any means, took the opportunity to read Roger Zelazny's Creatures of Light And Darkness? Because that's exactly what popped to my mind when I listened to chapter two...
