You see in the 1st Kung Fu Panda film, Tigress was a bitch to Po
even though they became close in the sequel, let's say she feels sorry a bit more for her actions in the original
Thus she decides to try walk in his shoes (via weight gain) for a couple of years with positive results in their relationship
